Dr. Fred Joseph Turner, MD

Excellent Doctor however very tied up all the time. He barely remembers all the staff but that is expected with so many years of being around. I would recommend making an appointment 1 year in advance to have him see you because he is backed up.

Dr. Turner was my doctor for yrs. If someone knows his ph# I'd greatly appreciate it. Ty

i been seeing pain management doc's for 14yrs and he has been one of the nicest, easy going , caring docs i've had the pleasure of having, i have gone through something around 7 doc's til he came aboard. he keeps it straight with the people who are truly in need of meds and weeds out junkies and people that end up giving good docs bad reps.

I am trying to find his office down south can anyone help me

This place is a pill mill and needs to be shut down. Dr Turner barely spoke with me or looked at my MRIs. He said I wasnt a candidate for surgery and immediately wanted to start on high dose pain medication. What a joke! This is a cash for pain prescriptions office.

I went to this doctor because I was referred by a friend, but wished I had read these reviews first because I would have saved myself $400 for the initial visit. Dr. Turner is a mean, arrogant, degrading, unprofessional and uncaring man, much less a doctor. He spent barely two minutes with me, and every question he asked me, he cut me off just as I began to answer. He would not answer any of my own questions, and even told me point blank that my voice annoyed him. I left confused, not knowing what to do next or when I'd be able to see him again. I also left with two prescriptions, which he wouldn't even explain what they were or how they would help me. I asked the receptionist if there was another doctor with more time who could spare a few minutes to clarify things for me. Dr. Turner got enraged when he heard that and yelled at me to get the f*** out and not come back, all of this happening in front of his staff and other patients. I left in tears, to say the least. I've never… experienced anything like that, especially with a doctor or any type of medical professional. I called back the next week to see if I could be refunded, even just partially, and was told by Dr. Turner, flat out "no", as I "wasted his time". If it wasn't for the receptionist and kindness of his staff, I think I would have died of embarrassment and an anxiety attack that day I first met him. The MRI's he prescribed me to get were cheap; albeit I had to travel from Tampa to Sarasota to get them. The MRI's were the only good thing I got from seeing Dr. Turner. All in all, I wasted $400 on a dead end visit, $300 for two MRI's and gas money to Tampa, Sarasota and then back to Pinellas County. Now I have to wait possibly months to save the money to see a real doctor, who will treat my case individually and take time to explain my condition and the medications or treatment they prescribe me. I'm hurt, embarrassed, shaken and dismayed by my experience with Dr. Turner. I feel he is running a pill mill, with little or no compassion for his patients suffering from chronic pain. DO NOT waste your time and money or trust this doctor with your well being or best interests.

Generally speaking going to Dr. Turner is a breeze. Typically he stays on schedule which I like if your appt is at 1 pm you are seen at 1pm. It makes you feel like the Dr. Values your time as much as you try to stay on schedule for him n his time. The whole appointment might take 45 mins and that is on a bad day. He always listens to me and what I tell him and he tries to educate me on my condition and that is helpful. I love seeing Dr. Turner.

He was extremly rude and looked like he just woke up. He looked at my film/xrays and told me I needed surgery without even talking with me. He is an ambulance chaser looking for money!!! He talked to his employees like they were trash. His breath also smelled like he was out the night before partying. DO NOT use this doctor!

This doctor not only made me wait 45 minutes to get into my initial appointment, he also interrupted my appointment in the middle of my exam to take a 20 minute phone call. In addition, he unprofessionally reprimanded an emplyee in the middle of the office for every patient to hear and see. My exam was less than sub-par and the time he spent with me made me feel like I was carrying a deadly disease he didnt want to catch, he was so quick and unthorough. Do not question his diagnosis either. Women especially beware becuase this is an arrogant, egotistically excuse for a doctor who seems to believe every woman (and I can only assume person who isnt a doctor like himself) is subservient to him.
