Dr. Frederic Elliott Eckhauser, MD

Dr. Eckhauser saved my life in 2007...a MAJOR operation, and I am still fine and functioning at age 94. Driving, no meds, no cane. A miracle doctor. I had been expected to die then, after a Mayo AZ. mistake cutting the bile duct in what was to have been a simple gall bladder removal. A year of searching for a cure, many doctors, many hospitals, until Hopkins and Dr. Eckhauser.

His newest secretary is a miserable excuse for JH's or at ANY Medical Facility. Dr Eckhauser saved my life, but his staff has made seeing him for repeat visits nearly impossible. Sad.

Did not see me before or after surgery, the residents did everything. Not sure who actually did procedure.

After some difficulty getting an appointment despite having referral from another M.D., I was seen and referred for a CT scan same day. After scan, heard nothing from office for almost three weeks until I called. Only then was I told by secretary of recommended follow-up testing. Never, ever spoke with the doctor or his fellow although I had been told initially one or the other would call after scan. At this point, I sought other medical advice from another source. Eckhauser has fine reputation and seem quite competent. Not sure if he was aware of turn of events following my first and only visit.
