Dr. Frederique Bailliard, MD

This doctor's office is a nightmare. Please do not use this practice. We have had the absolute worst experience with them - during and after our visit. During our visit, my then 2 month old was fussy and non-cooperative... I mean, she was 2 months old. The staff would not allow me to feed her, which only made things worse. Once the doctor finally made it to the room, she was clearly annoyed that my baby was fussy. She again would not allow me to feed her for comfort and when she was too fussy for the ultrasound - the doctor left goop all over my baby and literally just walked out of the room dismissively saying - "we will try when she calms down". It was unbelievable. I ended up leaving with a screaming baby, crying myself. I had no idea what services were performed to completion and besides the ultrasound, what services were still needed. Fast forward a few weeks... we received a bill from the doctors office for almost $500! It was all code. No breakdown. No… descriptions. Long story short - my baby is almost 8 months old now and we are still trying to get a response from the doctors explaining to us what we are being billed for. They have not offered an explanation and most recently wrote us saying that they are sending us to collections. It's insane. Lastly, they are still only allowing one parent in at a time. This was unimaginably hard for a new mom with a 2 month old. If I could give negative stars, I would.

I had scheduled a couple of appointments for my son but had to cancel and reschedule them due to conflicting events. I always cancelled in advance. Since I cancelled four times they will not see us as a new patient now. Is that the kind of doctor you want to see your children? It seems very petty to me. Is it all about the money or the children. If they are this rigid then I am glad we did not use them.

I went to see Dr. Bailliard, and she was the friendliest doctor I've ever been to. Normally the nurses are very nice, and then the doctors just figure out the problem and aren't very personal. She spent a lot of time with me and was very thorough with all of the exams. She explained things very well and didn't baby me (at 17 I'm still technically a pediatric patient, so I normally deal with nurses asking me to "wee wee" in a cup and such). I could easily trust what she said. The whole staff at the UNC Peds Cardiology Center was wonderful. She's an amazing doctor and person-you will love her and be thankful you got to be treated by one of the best doctors (in my opinion).
