Dr. Fredrica Emrich Smith

I saw Dr. Smith, or I should say her nurse Chris, after a three-month wait. On the third visit, I actually saw her. With that kind of a wait, I expected a specialist. On the day I saw her, I was seriously ill with bronchitis or so I thought and I asked her to check me out. She said that I had to see my own doctor, that it wasn't her specialty. This was 3 p.m. on a Friday and I would not be able to do that. The following day, I checked into the emergency room and learned that I had HINI plus Type A and B flus. I was hospitalized. At the visit, Smith was pushing sleep centers. I believe she gets a cut from the centers. She wanted me only at the Los Alamos one. She attributes everyone's pain to lack of deep sleep. She weighs more than twice what she would, barely walks with a cane for support and has absolutely no personality. She is singularly focussed on sleep and it is time for her to retire.

It takes 3 mos. to get appt. You may get only a Nurse Practioner. I saw Dr. S on my 3rd appointment and wish I hadn't. She left the exam room 3 times to take phone calls. I was getting over H1N1 and have a sinus infection and she refused to prescribe for it -- that isn't her specialty. She is overweight, can barely walk and doesn't listen. It is time for her to retire but her EGO won't allow it. Chris her nurse is more experienced that Dr. Smith. I had a male nurse take my blood pressure over an extra heavy sweater on top of a cotton turtleneck. How he could hear anything is beyond me. Her nurse diagnosed fibromyalgia and Dr. Smith is certain that I am not getting deep sleep even though it takes two extra loud alarms to waken me from sleep. She wants me to get sleep study. I think she might get a kickback. Old fashioned office with no updated experience. I will not return.
