Dr. Gabriel Steven Levi, MD

If you value patient care and compassion seek out another practice. Although it his practice may be knowledgeable about diagnosis there is a significant lack of concern about their patients, and a lack of empathy that can only be construed as negligent to the patient’s well being. Not only did the PA lie in my patient notes, no one in the practice made any kind of effort to come up with an effective pain management solution (nerve block, pain management consult) once the initial steroids wore off. I had to figure it out by myself and also with the knowledge of a pharmacist who provided more care and information than anyone at this practice. In 30 years of receiving healthcare I have never seen this level of indifference.

I would highly recommend Dr. Gabriel Levi. He was very attentive to my needs, answered all of my questions, and handled all aspects of my knee injury care including surgery with absolute excellence. He's the best.

Doctor and staff only care about billing you and your insurance and making sure you don't keep them past 6pm even though they post that time for booking. Asks same questions over and over, received 5 phone calls within less than 24 hours to make sure I was coming in, rushes appointment so doctor and staff can get out office of asap at EOD. Booked appointment on ZocDoc day before for 6pm appointment the next day. Next day... 8:12 am Office called to confirm appointment and asked if I could come in earlier. Said no due to work and was not asked to reschedule, but 6pm confirmed and asked reason for appointment which was given. 8:18 am Office called to ask for insurance info which was given. 4:10 pm Office calls again, missed call. 5:04 pm Office calls to confirm again, asks reason for appointment, asks for insurance info, and asks "So, you'll be here 6pm or earlier?" All info given again and answered will be there for 6pm appointment. 5:50 pm Call to say running 5 to 10 mins… late due to traffic, staff puts call on hold to confer with doctor if okay with this, staff asks if I can guarantee I will be there in 10mins or less (I'm less than than a mile away in a cab), staff relays questions from the doctor to try and assess on the phone, asks if prior imaging done which I answer no. 6:09 pm I call as I pull up in drive way to tell them I'm in the driveway. Staff answers,"The doctor is about to leave so you need to get here NOW." 6:10 pm Walk into office and first thing staff/nurse says to me is "We're all waiting for you." Asks again for reason for visit and insurance info. Rushed through paperwork and into x-ray room. 6:15 pm Nurse asks reason for visit and tells me she's going to take x-ray. Doctor walks in, asks reason for visit, and orders X rays before in-person assessment. At this point, I've had enough, lost all confidence in doctor/staff, and tell them I've decided not to go though with appointment just before they are about to take the x ray. Later that evening, I see that they marked me as a no show in Zoc Doc leading to my account to being locked. Sure, I was 10 mins late, but this was ridiculous!

The entire staff at the Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Center in West Rogers Park was incredibly friendly and warm. It was a very positive experience, especially after I was misdiagnosed from my previous doctor. I was very lucky that I found Dr. Gabriel Levi. He was extremely knowledgeable, explained the injury and the options for treatment in detail. He was always available to answer all my questions and concerns. Dr. Levi and his team, especially the physical therapist Yafa, have a wonderful bedside manner and they helped me make a full recovery. The office staff were very helpful and accommodating. I never had to wait for any of the appointments and physical therapy. Also, I want to give special thanks to Maria Theresa, you’re doing an outstanding job!

Dr. Levi is warm and caring. He truly takes an interest in his patience and is very detailed in answering all questions. The best doctor I have ever seen. I probably will have knee replacement surgery on both knees, I thank God that I can trust Dr. Gabriel Levi to do the surgery. I know that I am in good hands. He cares and that shows!

Dr. Levi is knowledgeable and professional. Downside was long wait times a few times.

Dr. Gabriel Levi a great surgeon. I had excellent results. In 2012, he operated my left knee and in 2013 he operated my right knee. I did my physical therapy at the same facillity and I highly recommend it. The physical therapy helped me very. I highly encourage people to go to Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Centers. Dr. Gabriel Levi is a great doctor.

Doctor Levi was awesome, He performed my surgery on my elbow I had a rupture tendon. the procedure was a success im at full strength, and can perform ever day activities. The physical therapist was great, they cared about my well being and help me through my recovery. the ladies at the front made my appointments, and made sure I got all my paper work promptly.
