Dr Belt, is probably the most unpleasant Dr I have ever seen in my life, I am 46 & been chronically ill since I was 12, so that’s a lot of Drs. Doesn’t even say hello lol. Literally scolds you for attempting to ask something & scolded me even when I was answering his questions, yet seemed too preoccupied with something else to listen to my response & then have to listen to him then repeat the same questions again to answer them again, all because he is not obviously giving u his full attention. I realized pretty quickly that this dr has a complex, & it’s speak only when spoken to, & only very loud and clear even if u have slurred speech likeI do now because of why i am seeing him in the first place! But just have to give only simple yes or no answers. Don’t waste your time trying to ask any questions or ask anything u were told to ask him by another dr, as he won’t allow u to speak. You try, he scolds u claiming u are talking over him. Which is not the case, he speaks over u, cause he… doesn’t wanna hear anything u say at all. So I stopped trying to ask what my other dr asked me to point out & ask him. Total waste of time & $. Since he refuses to give a patient a chance to get one word in, his opinion & diagnosis is garbage & useless. As he didn’t even have all the facts/other results of tests available online etc to give a definite and correct diagnosis without allowing me to share anything not online. I knew after the second scolding for saying I wasn’t answering his questions, when I was, that I needed to find another neurologist & the video visit was a joke & a total waste of my time. If I was feeling better, I would have stood up for myself, and not allow a strange man to scold, berate & talk down to me. No one, especially someone who is scared & having many symptoms and feeling so ill, needs some compassion, but yep instead, he made me want to cry. Dr Belt, u are not required to small talk, but there is never a reason or need to scold any adult especially when they are scared & ill, who u are getting paid to listen to their concerns & questions. A simple hello, how are u, nice to meet u, doesn’t hurt either, even a fake smile. Now I need to find another Neurologist, because u were too arrogant, had zero bedside manner, & just seem miserable & hate your profession & could honestly care less about your patients. But hey you still will get paid, so guess u can be a jerk. He did not see all tests results, which if u allowed me to speak one word, U would have learned this, since I could only get a video appt and not in person to bring additional results to show him. So his medical opinion/diagnosis is garbage & useless without having all the facts/symptoms/results to even come to a definitive diagnosis in my case. Maybe it’s time for him to retire, if he has no patience for being a dr anymore? I just realized the visit was a waste of time very quickly, and by the second scolding & berating I decided to be submissive and “obey” him; & ask nothing, & only say yes; no, thank u. So I wouldn’t ever see Dr Belt again, first negative review for a dr in my life like this, & I wouldn’t recommend Dr Belt to my worst enemy. Zero compassion, zero bedside manner. Arrogance at its maximum with this man. Maybe he went to one of the best medical schools, as I used to see specialists at Mt Sinai, yet that doesn’t mean anything, if a dr refuses to allow a patient to speak and relay all medical info and results, as he did not have everything in front of him that was needed to give a definite diagnosis. If he allowed me to get a word in, he would have learned this. I “obeyed” him, yet still was scolded! Lol. As he didn’t even listen to me respond to every one he asked me. So now I need to find another neurologist . Sorry my case was not a simple one I was told, It never is with my long complicated medical history. He also saw I signed myself out of the hospital, he mentioned it, yet Wouldn’t let me say why & obviously judged me for it, not knowing why; & treated me with zero respect. One of the hospitalists that treated me, agreed with my final decision to follow up outpatient, as the hospital’s Mri machine was still not working after 3 days waiting for one done, one reason why. I really feel he doesn’t deserve to be paid by my insurance company, as now I still need to follow up with another neurologist. With any Dr, u need to be given an opportunity to speak, ask any questions etc, & never is there any excuse to berated & scolded by anyone, especially a Dr. This Dr can’t even give a new patient, a friendly initial greeting. My apologies for the long rambling review, just the thought of how this man acted, makes me upset.
