Dr. Gary Lance Bohay

Bohay doesn’t deserve the one star. He is inept. My Dad had been hospitalized with COVID last year and had inflammation around his heart. It is well documented that COVID can damage your heart. When my Dad told him about it, he listened to his heart with a stethoscope and said it sounded fine to him. He kept going back for follow up visits and telling him that he was tired and out of breath. Bohay still would not send him to a cardiologist, all he would say was that it took time to recover. My Dad trusted him. My Dad died last week. His heart failed. If you value your life, get a different doctor.

Decent personality, helped by his heavy SSRI drug use, but a very poor diagnostician. Generally just throws prescription drugs at symptoms, hoping to pick a winner... if not, another prescription is thrown at his patients. Currently under investigation, again, by the AZ Medical Board.

Compassionate, good listener, easy to communicate, respectd your time, no long waitings, knowledgeable, medication prescribed helps immediately , easy to get appointments when needed, office very professional and friendly, doctor takes his time with you to explain, to discuss and to understand your condition. He works with the insurance, he likes to fulfill the requirements like participating in the WELLNESS PROGRAM. I feel comfortable with this doctor. Recomended to my whole family incliding children.

I was coughing to death with COPD and could not even sleep right in a chair without raising up to cough every few minutes. The Hospital and specialist did nothing to help me. Dr. Bohay said he would have me feeling better in 2 weeks with these 2 medicines. In two days I could sleep a couple of hours in a bed and could sleep in a chair without raising to cough every few minutes. I would have died 2.5 years ago with out him. He has stabilized my COPD.

I had Dr. Bohay for about 25 years as my primary care doctor. He was the absolute BEST and I hated having to leave - the only reason being is that we changed insurance. Rest assured that when my insurance changes, I will be back with him in a heartbeat!

Dr. Bohay goes above and beyond to meet the needs of his patients. His clinical expertise is evident and his knowledge of medical issues is far more vast then the average PCP.

No answers to questions, no followup on hospital illness, Seems oblivious to your concerns.

Mis-diagnosed with a blood disease and suffered through months of giving pints of blood every 2 weeks. After meeting with oncologist it was determined that I did not have the blood disease. I went to his office and after a heated conversation with his office manager they decided to drop me as my primary. I now have the VA as my primary and they are much better. I have waited a year to post this but I feel I must to inform present and future patients.
