Dr. Gary Neal Goodman, MD

My therapy and personal growth have been long journeys. I met Dr. Goodman about three years ago and I have to say this is the best relationship I've had with a therapist. Never before have I felt so understood. Granted, my prior therapy helped me get to this point, but I've made the most tangible progress with Dr. Goodman. He does like to share the intricacies of his profession from time to time, but I find it very helpful.

I felt it necessary to write this review after I read an awful one, that makes no sense to me! I first met Dr Goodman, when he was co-facilitator for a care giver support group in 2000. Of course I thought of him again, in 2021 when I needed his expertise once more. Dr Goodman listens, and seems to draw out answers to my questions and concerns, from my own memory bank. I did not realize I had answers until he helped me find them! He has shown nothing but kindness and empathy. He keeps to the topic at hand, does not offer opinion, just information, which comes from his years of experience and continued learning. I have recommended Dr Goodman to several friends, and will always call him when I need his kind of assistance!

Dr Goodman has a very professional attitude towards his patients. He listens to everything you say, plus his experience allows him to read between the lines, and help you feel comfortable enough to trust his knowledge and skillset. He is not pushy, but lets you talk when you when you are ready--he does not lead your words--lets you tell your story I have recommended Dr Goodman to many friends who have also visited him, and went back when necessary.

Dr. Gary N Goodman was just aweful to my 85 year old mother. He found out my mother was a republican and he laid out a guilt trip on her that depressed her for weeks. He often brings up politics in his clinical setting and he's hard left socialist. He abuses his perceived authority as a "psychologist" to try and force you to identify as a liberal/socialist. Stay away from this quack.
