Dr. Gary Lee Gustafson, DO

Fantastic care by front desk and Doctor. I had been sick for months and another urgent care never gave me the medicine I needed to get cured. Doctor Gustafson knew exactly what was wrong and gave me the antibiotics I needed to feel better. He is smart.

3 Chiropractors, 2 separate doctors.... I truly was relentless! I knew there was an easy fix to my back problem, one that I had dealt with for almost 2 years. I knew it wasn't cancer, birth defect ECT. ECT., and after 15 minutes with him he told me to lay on my back, gave me an adjustment (much like the 10+ I had received from 3 different chiros) and told me "Your better, take some ibuprofen and if it acts up, come back." I thought he was joking / trying to pull a "placebo effect" on me... After I stood up he shook my hand and walked off, as I did. I didn't make it 2 steps out of the office when it hit me! He truly did it! I went running back in to thank him, but he was with another patient. As others say, he is straight to the point, with no "How was your day?" B.S. and other small talk. He got the job done, a job 5 (FIVE!!!!!) other doctors failed at, and I can be anything more than grateful. {BTW the reason I had 5 separate docs was I had no insurance, and couldn't afford a full… blown $2000 hospital back xRay or a 6 month $2200 chiro plan. and kept trying to find alternatives every couple months I could afford} Dr. G is the MAN!)

I have been a pt of Dr. G's for 4yrs. He is an older Dr who is set in his ways. I like that he is a no nonsense person. He doesn't socialize much and prefers to focus on what needs to be done. He is not one to prescribe more than he should. He is cautious about everything. His office is not fancy but that's perfectly ok with me. He is prompt at getting tests and procedures done. He expects the staff to do their job and seems like he doesn't tolerate much. But, he is really a caring and understanding older gentleman with the heart of a bear cub. I want a Dr. not a friend and that is what I have!

We're a retired military family and are accustomed to the lottery of docs you may get at the clinic - then the lottery of diagnosis you may receive. Dr. Gus has a very straightforward, no nonsense bedside manner, but he has never led us wrong in our ailments. If a specialist is required he does not hesitate to get you there! He has been great with our school-age children (being a former school teacher he gets kids) - asking them questions about their interests and activities. Don't expect a state of the art-looking lobby or exam rooms. But for us Dr. Gus' care & experience has trumped fanciness.

If you are looking for a doctor that makes his office staff cower at his every move. And is more concerned with making sure he doesn't look bad instead of doing what is the right thing for his patient, then you have found the right doctor.
