Dr. Gary Panagiotakis, DO

Dr. Gary Panagiotakis specializes in non-operative spine and musculoskeletal care, and is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. He provides patient-centered care focused on treating painful conditions and ultimately restoring patients’ function and improving their quality of life.



After completing his undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology he received his master’s degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). He earned his medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine/UMDNJ. He completed his residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation/Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School.



In his final year of residency, Dr. Panagiotakis served as Academic Chief Resident. He is the recipient of the resident teacher of the year award and has served on elected national and local board positions …for the advancement of his field. He believes strongly in evidence based medicine and has publications in national journals and has presented at multiple specialty conferences. 



For his subspecialty training, he completed an ACGME-accredited Pain Medicine fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center – Multidisciplinary Pain Program in New York. During this time he was trained in advanced image guided procedures to treat acute and chronic pain.



Dr. Panagiotakis is specialized in interventional spine procedures including fluoroscopically guided injections, neuro-modulation therapy, as well as ultrasound guided injections. He has an interest in regenerative medicine. He applies a multimodal, evidence-based approach to managing pain, and is passionate about having a positive impact on his patient’s quality of life.
