Dr. Gary William Pushkin, MD

I would not recommend this doctor unless you are forced to go. He does work for workers compensation insurance. He only cares about his pocket and not the best interest of the patients he sees. I have a herniated disc which is still causing pain and he told my employer I was fit for full duty as a firefighter. My MRI confirmed the herniated disc. It took awhile for me to find PT that started to work. I expressed to him I wanted to finish it before I went back to work because it was helping. He didn’t seem to care and all he had to say was that he would write a report. His exam was less then 5 minutes and he didn’t discuss my MRI results. These kind of doctors give the healthcare industry a bad reputation

Dr Pushkin took approximately 10 minutes to examine me for an Independent Medical exam. I tried to explain the details of how I was injured and my symptoms. He would not allow me to talk. He did not examine the area of my body that was injured. Five Dr.’s stated in writing I could not do my essential duties of my job and I was awarded total permanent disability from Social Security. Pushkin testified In his opinion I was not disabled and could lift 50 lbs. lifting 50lbs is a violation of OSHA guidelines for health care workers. He testified under oath he had not conducted surgery in over 20 years yet his on line profiles include he does orthopedic surgery. This man needs to be investigated by the (Maryland) American Medical Association. He testified 60% of his practice is contractual Independent Medical Evaluations for the State of (Maryland). He receives $500 per hour to testify for the State.

Dr. Pushkin has provided we with great care. He accurately diagnosed my problems, and treated me effectively. Thanks to him, I am now pain free.
