Worse dr ever

Arrogant and sarcastic! Bizzare behavior. I told him he was Bizzare and he just kept repeating the world "Bizzare!" I couldn't wait to get out of his office!

Very rude Physician would not refer him to anyone.

After, what we thought was a botched cataract surgery, and was told by the surgeon that the patient would most likely be blind in one eye, we had little hope, and he referred us to Dr. Rankin. The first thing Dr. Rankin told us after the examination, was that it was a mechanical problem, and they can be fixed. OH WHAT A RELEIF!!!!!! It has been a tough but successful road . Every other doctor who has examined the eye, has raved about the surgery.

The hospital taped my brothers eye shut because it would not shut after a stroke. It is inflamed, looks like it has dropped in the socket-it opened underneath the bandage and the tape scratched his eye badly. He is on the rehab unit and the PA wanted to put steri strips on it when I demanded that someone see him. Because THEY caused it, they finally agreed to call in an ophthalmologist. He walked in said it was scratched and they would call a plastic surgeon to sew it shut. No options, no explanation what is going on with it, nothing about long term-just a "glad hand" to appease us. No eye exam-what joke. How important are your eyes to you? Think about that before you schedule an appointment. I am the administrator for a MUCH larger medical facility than he has and I will spread the word as much as I can. I will also see a lawyer before anybody's eye gets sewn shut.

Went with my father for injection for Macular Degeneration. Dr. Rankin and his entire staff are are professional, courteous and delightful. Dr. Rankin took the time to show me before and after photo's of his eye (before injection, and one month after injection). The staff explained every step of the process to my elderly (84 years) father. I was very impressed with the entire practice and would highly recommend Dr. Rankin to anyone.

We had to wait 6 weeks to get an appointment. His staff was very professional and kind, but Dr. Rankin was arrogant and unprofessional; (throughout his office there are signs posted, please turn off your cellphones), good policy, but to have the Dr. answer his cellphone in the middle of the examination, to take a personal call, unless he says I love you to all his patients or staff, and not have the common courtesy to at least say, excuse me while I take this call, was terribly unprofessional. He winked at my mom when she asked a question that he obviously thought was beneath him to answer, and as we were still trying to ask him questions about our concerns regarding my POHS, he wandered away down the hall. It was a waste of 6 weeks of time for treatment that I desperately needed for my eyes.

I saw Dr. Rankin when I was having a narrow angle attack. I found him to be very knowledgeable, professional and showed genuine concern for my well being. His staff is also very professional and curtious. I am very appreciative of Dr. Rankin and his staff. Thank You

Dr Rankin followed my chronic iritis for a short while before he determined that more aggressive treatment was needed. Prior to finding him, I had lived with recurrent flares for 20+ years. He eventually performed surgery, saving me from further damage to my eyes. Very knowledgeable physician. Blessed to have found him.
