He was very good. Took a few tests, and I was diagnosed with Laryngopharngeal Refulux. Wait time was minimum and follow up was great.

For several years I have had horrible allergists who couldn't give me a clear answer of why I was getting hives and what it was called. All they did was pump me up full with Prednisone to the point where i knew i was shortening my life span. Dr. Gary Stadtmauer diagnosed my problem and did everything he could to get me off of steroids by experimenting with all kinds of non-steroid drugs. He's the one that helped me get approved for Xolair which has been my cure to get rid of these horrible hives as long as I go in for my monthly shot. If I have an emergency he lets me see him on the same day and returns calls in less than an hour. He's the kind of doctor that you can have a conversation with because he's down to earth and treats you like a human being and not a paycheck. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for an allergy specialist.

I had a persistent dry cough and an ENT could not properly diagnose my symptoms. Dr. Stadtmauer checked my passage ways and gave me an asthma test. Since I had already been tested for allergies about five years ago, he did not oblige me to take any skin tests. Instead, he took a detailed account of my allergy history. Overall, he was patient, caring and knowledgeable. Of all the doctors I have seen in Manhattan, he is one of the few who I feel spends adequate time with patients. On a side note, the waiting time was excellent...I was placed in an exam room within five minutes of completing paperwork. I'd definitely recommend him to any friends.
