Dr. Geetha M. Nair, MD

My daughter is seen by Dr. Gorman usually, but she was out of town this week and we had to have a follow-up with Dr. Nair. Rude and egotistical is the best I can do to describe Dr. Nair. Rather than taking the time to listen to patient history, she got snippy when I questioned the reasoning behind her decision to place my daughter in a medication. If she had taken a second to listen, she would have learned the only reason my daughter was prescribed an antacid while in the hospital last week is because she vomited the liquid prednisone that was given to her. Instead, Dr. Nair started listing her credentials and refused to hear anything I had to say. Dr. Nair does not know my daughter, never even met her until today, and I had to remind her of why we were in there in the first place. Needless to say, we left the office no closer to answers than when we came in. I have a follow-up scheduled with Dr. Gorman once she returns from vacation and will NEVER allow my daughter to be seen by Dr.… Nair again. She ordered unnecessary tests while my daughter was hospitalized and is trying to push more medication into her now without hearing a word from the patient or the patient's family. I understand she holds the degree, but a person knows more about their own body than what a textbook can offer. Try a little bedside manner, Dr. Nair. It will go a lot further than some initials after your name.

She is an awesome dr and the other drs in the office are great too! Cant say the same about the front desk staff and medical assistants, so rude and should not be working with kids (there are 2 medical assistants that are great and I really wish I got their names)

We have ALWAYS had problems with waiting at the Union Lake office, however, Dr. Nair more than makes up for it! She is courteous, kind, obviously cares for her patients, knowledgeable and very personable! She listened to every concern my husband and I had about our newborn daughter, she had a solution to the issues we've been having and was very helpful with information and answered all of our questions without once making us feel as if we were a bother or wasting her time. Not to mention, she was very kind, took interest in my husband and I as well as our newborn and was very quick to comfort me when I started crying about how upset we were about the issues our daughter is having. I wish she saw adult patients, I'd not hesitate to see her myself or recommend her to any of my family or friends!
