Dr. Gene Choi, MD

Dr. Choi performed knee surgery on me 3 years ago....Great result! Additionally, he has a wonderful bedside manner.

I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR MY RIGHT KNEE. I ENDED UP HAVING A TIBULA PLATEAU INJURY. IN THE E.R. I WAS SEEN BY 4 DOCTORS BEFORE DOCTOR CHOI ARRIVED AND ALL 4 OF THOSE DOCTORS DIDN’T KNOW WHAT TO DO. IN FACT THEY WANTED TO AMPUTATE MY LEG. BASICALLY DOCTOR CHOI SAVED MY LEG. SO I STILL CONTINUE TO BE VERY ACTIVE AT HOME AND WORK. He’s worth the wait, time, and respect. Diaz

I was looking forward to meeting Dr. Choi due to the positive reviews I'd read about him. I was seeing Dr. Choi for a second opinion regarding hip replacement surgery. I am younger than most people facing this decision due to an abnormality I've likely had since birth. He was clearly reluctant to conduct surgery though he agreed it would be the best solution for treating the pain. What I realized was that he doesn't understand the pain I am dealing with on a daily basis. There is nothing normal about my life anymore. I cannot do the most simple of things due to the severity of the pain. He said he didn't understand why it was so bad. He said I could try a cortizone shot to manage the pain and we would check back in to see if we would go forward with surgery. He did not find my circumstances urgent enough to note that on the referral to pain management so I am unable to get in for 2 months. I requested that Dr. Choi change the request from "routine" to "urgent." He declined to… do that, again affirming that he either doesn't believe me for doesn't understand how life altering this is for me. I have schedules an appointment with a new orthopedic surgeon.

Dr Choi is a very patient and kind individual. He is an amazing surgeon and I highly recommend him to anyone with a sports related injury! Mike I. Redlands, Ca

I was told if don't. try the injection for my knee or get the knee replacement surgery to basically just deal with the pain. No I would not recommend this doctor.
