Dr. Gene Manchin Winfield, DO

Does not care about you as person at all. Doesn't care about your health. I had to go 3 weeks with diarrhea because he refuse to recommend something to help me to stop it. He denied me a heart spec after an er Dr did I needed to see one, he denied me a thyroid specialist after my neuro wrote I needed to see one as soon as possible. He never checked my labs just kept refilling meds. I have 5 specialist I see every few months all year long. They all treat me like they care and they want to make me better. They go above and beyond to help me. But not him. He said I don't want to touch you because you have specialist.

I have nothing bad to say about Dr. Winfield! Although I have not seen any doctors for 6-7 years now, I am making an appointment to see Dr. Winfield ASAP. He had seen me many times in the past, and because I listened to his directions, I have been in excellent health for several years now. I look forward to seeing him again soon and I will refer him to anyone else who is looking for a good Dr.

I don't know what the problem is with the people who gave such horrid reviews but they are totally wrong about this doctor. I am NOT a big fan of physicians by any means. Have never found one that I felt I could trust to do what I felt was in MY best interest,.... until now. He actually listens to me and allows me to have input into my care. He made me know that we are going to deal with my health issues as a TEAM. This is the first time on over 50 years that I left an office feeling that I was really listened to, totally safe and in good hands. The only other physician that made me feel that is my dentist, and he's truly amazing. Do not hesitate to see this man, you won't regret it. The office staff situation has been totally rectified. He completely cleaned house of the old staff and has a fantastic, friendly staff that is wonderfully efficient, attentive, and fast.

Dr. Winfield is an excellent doctor. He is caring and takes his time answering questions and is very kind. I can't even believe the scary bad review someone else wrote. They must have a personal vendetta against this doctor or a serious personality disorder. I have recomended Dr Winfield to several people including my own daughter. He has had several staff changes which has led to some confusion but this seems to have gotten a lot better so hopefully he has the right staff in place now.

COMPLETE NIGHTMARE: I have 5+ years experience with invidual. My heartfelt advice: AVOID DOCTOR WINFIELD AT ALL COSTS The staff is incompetent to a laughable extent in addition to being rude. The doctor himself is arrogant, condescending, unable to admit when his knowledge is limited, and ultimately A VERY POOR DOCTOR. My overall experience with Dr. Winfield was almost as painful as the condition that I sought him to help me with. I highly suggest you explore elsewhere.

I've been a patient of Dr. Winfield for almost 8 years and I've never had a complaint. He's a compassionate and caring doctor as well as being highly effective and well-rounded. My parents and kids are all patients of his. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

I'VE BEEN GOING TO SEE DR.WINFIELD FOR MANY YEARS NOW AND I JUST THINK HE'S WONDERFUL HE REALLY CARES ABOUT HIS PATIENTS AND HE DOESNT BEAT AROUND THE BUSH IF IM NOT DOING WHAT I'M SUPPOSE TO BE DOING HE REALLY LETS ME KNOW WHICH MOST DOCTORS WONT I'VE HAD MY SHARE OF THOSE KIND OF DOCTOR'S I WOULD VERY MUCH RECOMMAND DR.WINFIELD TO ANYONE. HIS STAFF MAKES YOU FEEL GREAT AS WELL.

I have been a patient with Dr. Winfield since he began his practice. He is willing to spend as much time as necessary to listen to his patients and make recommendations based on what you tell him along with his professional opinion of course. He is an internal medicine doctor also which is nice.
