Dr. Genevieve Anne Johnson-Stuber, DO

She is truly an incredible doctor. Very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Takes her time to get to the root of the problem and goes above and beyond for her patients

Dr. Stuber often hears what she wants to hear and doesn't actually listen to me. Multiple times I've had to correct notes she'sd written about visits and her interpretation of events and conversations. I often leave our visits feeling like I've been dismissed and ignored and almost every treatment I've received from her was based on my request as she doesn't seem to motivated to help with much.

Like the other reviews, I also would not recommend seeing this Doctor. My doctor left the office and I was told Dr. Stuber was now my doctor. When the time came for my med. refill I called the office and was told she would not fill anything until I came in for a med check. I made an appointment and was seen by Becky. She is a nurse practitioner . Everything was fine and she said the doctor would send over the script to the pharmacy. When I picked up the meds the doctor had cut back the pills. I called the office to find out why and was told she doesn't believe in meds for pain. The next month she cut them back even more. I called the office again and was told the doctor or her nurse would call me back later that day. It has been 2 weeks now and still no phone call. Again I called the office and was told they would get me a new doctor. The only problem is she is the only doctor at that office. I have been at this office for more than 10 years. 3 different doctors have taken x-rays every… year to see how everything is doing that is causing the pain. All 3 doctors said to keep taking the meds so I can sleep at night and keep on working. Dr. Stuber has never looked at any x-rays or had any more done. I was even told once when I called that maybe I should just go on disability. There is no need for that as I am not disabled. This doctor does not care about her patients. She only cares about you making more appointments. The sad part is she has never even see me in person to talk about anything. The bottom line is I would not recommend anybody going to see this doctor. I also think it would be a good idea to not go to any Rochester Regional Health office. They can not seem to keep doctors at this office as they all quit. All the other offices do not have this problem. Rochester Regional Health is aware of the problems at this office and with this doctor. They are also aware of the reviews and have done nothing to try an take care of this problem.

Like most of the reviews she is a terrible doctor who really does not care about her patients, she only wants to keep having you make appointments and adjusting any meds according to her beliefs. She decided to start getting rid of the meds I was on that 3 other doctors at the same office had prescribed over the years. The other doctors had x-rays taken every year to see if there was any change. She has not only not taken any x-rays she has never even seen me for any appointment. I called the office after I picked up the meds at the pharmacy to find out why they were changed and was told the doctor, her nurse or assistant would call me back later that day and I never heard back and it has been 2 weeks now. When I called back again I was told that maybe they would have to get me a different doctor. The only problem was she is the only doctor at that office. For some reason that office can not keep doctors there. They always end up quitting. All of the other offices do not have this… problem. My advise is to NOT go to this doctor. It might be a good idea to stay away from all Rochester Regional Health offices as they are aware of all the bad reviews and problems this doctor and office have and they still have not done anything to try to fix the problems. I have been a patient at this office for over 10 years and I guess I will be looking for a new doctor and office.

My husband and I are new to Rochester, and we needed to find a new physician. Dr. Johnson Stuber was very attentive, informative, and spent time talking with us. We were seen immediately upon check-in. She has since communicated with us through the patient portal that we set up. My husbands medications have been transferred to our new pharmacy efficiently. All in all, a very competent and straight forward practitioner.

This person apparently took over my previous Dr's practice within this health group, Stuber is the absolute worst physician I've ever met its hard to even want to call her a "Doctor". While I am uninsured and have been for the last 2 yrs. waiting on a disability decision this doctor has come in over the last year and held my medications hostage. 1st it was you haven't been seen in a year ok I make an appointment for an annual visit and pay out of pocket. Then somewheres around the 6 month period we start again where I am told they wont be refilled unless I come in every 6 months ... Well thats just not going to happen! I am not on any "Controlled substance" medications just medications for anxiety and High blood pressure. So for a couple of months I get them refilled although I had to be irate about it. It has finally gotten down to this where no matter what she won't refill them without a visit. I have scheduled an "Annual" for Dec. but thats not good enough for this person. I have… been off all my medications now for a week the withdrawals from the anxiety medication are slowly getting better and apparently providing high blood pressure medication is an issue because of it causing a liver issue or something I guess the liver issue must be more important than my having a stroke due to high blood pressure. This person is nothing more than an extortionist who ignores a persons health problems if she cannot line her pockets with office visit fees. I will look for a new provider once I have medical insurance, till then I am stuck where I am at. Stay far far away from this practice and this location run by Rochester Regional Health! You have been warned

My mother has been a patient of this practice for many years. We have always been patient while waiting for 40 minutes to an hour past our appointment because Dr Stuber was nice to my mother. We are going through a very difficult time and through a misunderstanding of appointment time showed up 15 minutes late. The primadona doctor refused to see my mother despite me explaining the situation. Way to be a support during a significant life transition for a 90 year old!

This amateur is apparently more concerned with her own personal beliefs or perhaps her reputation with her peers than she is with her patients wellbeing. My mother, a 68 year old woman struggling with severe anxiety her entire life (trust me, she raised me, I've seen her taken away by paramedics for catastrophic panic attacks my entire childhood). She recently made the mistake of seeing this awful doctor, Genevieve Stuber. This foolish woman adamantly opposed prescribing her the only thing that helps her (Xanax 0.25 up to twice a day), which she has successfully used for over 20 years! Do you know how dangerous benzodizapene withdrawal is? Nope, she dogmatically dissaproved, and decided to immediately stop her treatment, no consideration given at all to the painful and life threatening consequences of pulling a patient off of a medication like that. I'm a medical professional, and I'm strongly urging you to stay far away from this practice. Luckily I was able to get my mother seen by a… COMPETENT and compassionate doctor. I am so furious that I called the office, and they have dodged every attempt I've made. MALPRACTICE!

Dr. Stuber always listens to what I have to say. She is an excellent diagnostician and thoroughly follows up on all related issues as required. I am very happy having her for my primary physician. \

I am a 58 YO Male. Over the last few years Ive had some serious health issues. All of these have been diagnosed and have under control. Prostate cancer (Prostatectomy) in 2013, Cancer recurrence (Treated with Radiation) in 2015 Type 1 Diabetes under control with diet. Knee replacement in 2016. Last year my previous doctor had left the practice very unexpectedly. But the PA was very attentive to me. Dr. Stuber joined the practice this year. Even though I had see the PA with in the past 6 months. Dr. Stuber refused to refill my monthly RX for Ritalin, till I came in to see her. ( I have taken this for over 10 years for ADD). But I understand I was a new Patient, and she wanted to meet with me. I was OK with that. In fact I had some concerns as recently I started having nipple pain. After having Cancer, every Ache and Pain I assume as Cancer.. (Stupid I know). So I had an my appointment with Dr. Stuber less than 2 months ago. It was one of the worst appoints I ever had. It… left me Scared, depressed and Frustrated. I told Dr Stuber as well as the Nurse that admitted me all my concerns. Dr. Stuber focused on the fact I was on a high dose of Ritalin. The same dose I’ve always taken and has worked for me, without any complications. She kept on about alternate coping methods. (Come ‘on Im 58, I’ve had ADD all my life, Ive tried other methods.) But She insisted that she cut my dosage down. What choice did I have? She gets up and says Good bye. I sitting there Dumbfounded. Then it hits me that she never examined my nipple pain. In fact she never mentioned it. I quickly go out and catch her in the hallway. I ask her if she had a second and I motioned back to the exam room. She didn’t move out of the hallway, and asked what I needed. I told her that we didn’t discuss my Nipple pain. She said that she wasn’t concern about it and if I was, that I should make another appointment. I said with my history of my prostate cancer spreading. She said, No, but if I wanted to discuss it I would need to make another appointment….. I left there so upset… I couldn’t believe it. That next week I get in the mail Lab orders to get my PSA tested. No letter explaining why she want this…. Nothing just the lab orders. Then yesterday I call the office to get a refill of my Monthly Rx for Ritalin. And Today I call the office for an Update, And I’m told she refused to refill it until I followed up with her again. This was less than 2 months since my first appointment.
