Dr. Geoffrey Robert Adey, MD

Since Mr. Adey operated on my cervical spine i am not close to the person I was. I am constantly dizzy, can’t play any sports, I have almost completely lost my hearing. Not being able to hear, with a heating aid, is a very lonely existence. Google hearing loss with cervical spine surgery and dizziness after cervical spine surgery. Think many times before having cervical spine surgery with any dr. I remember him telling me 2 times during pre operation appts. that his father was married to a woman 25 years younger than his father. As this information was ridiculous I wondered about how sharp this dr was and should have listened to my inner self and cancelled surgery.. This surgery from this man is the biggest mistake of my life. My entire family suffers because of my not being myself.

This doctor talks a good game, but can not deliver. He performed surgery on my husband, told him he would not be able to work and refused to sign his disability paperwork. Almost a year after back surgery, he still has extreme pain at the incision site, and this doctor refuses to see him, stating he has done all he can. He lied to my husband and to me and should lose his license. How about fixing what you screwed up. Don't waste your time with this liar.

Excellent Neurosurgeon when no other surgeon would help me Dr. Adey was right there and did an outstanding job for me! I had an arachnoid cyst on my thoracic spine and was in a very difficult place and was unable to walk without assistance. He performed the surgery and I’m on my way to healing with rehab and I believe that he is the best Neurosurgeon in the world! Thanks for everything Dr. Adey and his wonderful staff. Betty Thomas

As for follow up? Gives incorrect or no instructions to physical therapy follow up. I have had three physical issues that began immediately after surgery. Mr. Adey claims none of these issues could POSSIBLY be because of my surgery. Googling my surgery these possible side effects are mentioned. He loves to talk, but will not listen even long enough for you to complete a question. I would never recommend this person to anyone requiring neck surgery. Maybe my issues could have happened with another surgeon, but to completely blow me off and insist these sudden problems could have been caused by my surgery is ridiculous. I asked for a referral for one of the side effects, he refused to give it.

Dr. Adey diagnosed my problem through and exhaustive testing and interviews and performed corrective surgery with excellent results. I am completely cured and can't thank Dr. Adey enough.

Dr.Geoff Adey is THE one and only reason I am still alive. That simple!After a messed-up first attempt at clipping a bursted cerebral aneurysm (by another surgeon), Dr Adey, not only saved my life by going in for the second surgery to re-clip the aneurysm, but while performing this, he uncovered a second aneurysm, on the verge of bursting, completely missed by the previous neurosurgeon! He is, without a doubt, the reason I am still alive today, 11 years later. I will never be able to thank him enough! Wonderful sense of humour and caring bed manners, he is the most wonderful doctor I've ever met. Yes, I owe him my life. I just can't say enough good about this wonderfully skilled surgeon. Having a congenital neural/spinal issue is debilitating. Dr. Adey performed a miracle as I never thought that I would be out of a wheel chair for the rest of my life...as it was I was in one for almost two years. I now walk without even so much as a cane for assistance. Dr. Adey discovered and treated my condition with such expertise that I feel so very fortunate to have found him.
