Dr. George Lynn Austin, MD

I saw Dr Austin for a medical marijuana permit. I have diabetes, neuropathies, non healing wounds, kidney failure, long term opiate use and constant pain from muscle and nerve damage. Dr Austin's office took the $100 CASH but then decided that my pain wasn't the right kind and my opiate use would probably not be a problem when the pain stops. He examined the wound but did nothing other than tell me to come back again in a few weeks. No sense throwing good money away...I didn't get my approval, paid $100 CASH PLUS regular office visit, and was told to come back later. FWIW, the office personel were nice and friendly but the Drs. reluctance to listen to my complaints and past dealings has told me that this gentleman is better suited to cutting and staying away from interpersonal skills with patients. Before you think I'm a crackpot, I have been dealing with leg wounds and nerve pain for over 3 years now and go weekly to the Advanced Wound Clinic. I usually get a happy ending with a… $100 cash payment.
