Dr. George Tataw Besong, MD

I went to see him in 2015 for a routine Wellness appointment and he told me I needed to come back for some imaging. He had his own imaging equipment in his office. He gave me a pill he said was necessary to take a certain amount of time before the imaging. He took one pill out of a prescription bottle and put the one pill in another prescription bottle which had its label removed. He said it was to save his patients money. At my follow-up, he told me he suspected I had fibroids and would need to have surgery. I told him I would think about it and called him back a few months later with a few questions. When I called back, his receptionist told me he wasn't doing surgeries, something about a neck injury. I was referred to another doctor who ordered all new tests from an actual imaging facility. He concluded there was nothing there and that surgery was completely unnecessary. RUN from this guy! He should NOT be allowed to practice ANY kind of medicine.

This Doctor is not to be trusted. He likes to do surgeries and procedures for no reason. He even billed my insurance for possible fibroids, I kept saying my periods were normal and he kept doing tests for fibroids. His staff is not friendly and he also did a surgery on me because he said I had an ectopic pregnancy on my left tube. He removed the tube and the pregnancy was somewhere else. He removed my tube because he wanted to keep billing.

Do not go to this doctor. He removed my fallopian tube saying there was an ectopic pregnancy and in pathology they didn’t find any fetal tissue. Now having problems with my fertility.

He only cares about money. He said he was going to do an exploratory surgery for an ectopic pregnancy. He ended up removing my fallopian tube saying it was swollen and the result from the pathology came back without a pregnancy in it. He was careless, wanted to do the surgery for money, didn’t even do an ultrasound to double check before the procedure.

I couldn't let national doctor's day go by without sending so much love to my hero Dr Besong. I truly have no idea where i would be without this man and i am certain there are hundreds of others who can say the same. His skill, empathy and fight for us battling endometriosis, fibroids and other complicated health issues that present in the unusaul way like my case, is truly unmatched.You showed up and showed out in my case! Thank you for everything you do, there is truly no doctor like you. Please God keep all doctors and health workers safe at this time of COVID-19 pandemic. ??

He only wants to bill your insurance for procedures he can’t even do correctly. He failed to collect a good enough sample to check for endometrium. He told me I was fine but when I asked for my medical record it said on lab report that the quality of the specimen collected wasn’t good enough for testing. He misdiagnosed an ectopic and removed my left tube just because, without even doing an ultrasound before. He also tried to put me in a fibroid trial without having fibroids.

He’s been my doctor for 3 years now and I’m extremely happy with his work. Just had a full hysterectomy done by Dr. Besong and it went so smoothly that I’m in shock as to how fast and well I’m healing. He always listens to my concerns and answers my questions. His staff is friendly and kind. Highly recommended!

He is TERRIBLE. He shouldn't even be called a doctor. He did a hysterectomy on me exactly a year ago. Went to a new doctor because he said he doesn't take my insurance anymore. Well the new Doctor found two stitches plus internal bleeding. I was told I would have to go back to this TERRIBLE so called doctor. Well he wants me to pay out of pocket for him to correct what he did wrong. My insurance company said they would pay him to fix whatever needs to be done. All his office has to do is file a paper with my insurance company. But he refuses to do so. Oh and the staff are liars and rude as can be.

This doctor only wants to do procedures to bill the insurance. He does not care about the patient or consequences of these procedures.
