Dr. George Lazarou, MD

Dr Lazarou is the best uro-gynecologist on Long Island in my opinion. Another uro gyn at a renowned LI hospital did bladder lift surgery on me a year ago that failed, and Dr Lazarou was so kind & professional, he did a colposcopy and found the bladder was still prolapsed & offered me options including surgical repair, I did the latter and feel like a new woman. He is a caring person & great listener, and his nurse Jessica is very sweet. I have nothing but good things to say about him & highly recommend

He did an abdominal hysterectomy b/c he can’t do a Laparoscopy. Then I developrd which a bowel obstruction from the mesh in the Sacrocolpopexy because he used tacs instead of suturing it to the ligament. (Tacs are faster) I had to have another six hour surgery to clean up the mess. Best of all he told my husband the bowel obstruction was NOT from the hysterectomy.

Dr. G. Lazarou & his staff is very kind, compassionate & a very good doctor. We talked about what is happening in my body & what needs to be done to correct the problem. He did the procedure to fix the problem & now I am doing as well as expected. He & his staff is the best.

I have been seeing the Dr. for about 3 yaers now. I dont not feel like he rushes, he takes his time to listen to me and for us to come up with a plan that will work.

I think he rushes through the visit. He's not the least bit concerned of any other medical issue that might be related. Very dangerous on ordering expensive tests and doesn't have the courtesy to look at film but rather read the written reports which where entirely wrong!! Thought uterus and ovaries were removed when clearly on film if he looked the were completely healthy and in tact!!! Run run run he's to busy n is paid to operate!!
