Dr. George Thomas Morgan, MD

Dr as left the Pikeville location in Kentucky that he was at he was the dr that has cared and listened to me the most I have rods in my back and legs and I’m in a wheelchair and he had give me back so much of my life and now the dr that took his place has cut all my meds down and basically tell my I don’t need them so now i get to stay in bed a lot dealing with the pain so gut if u got a good dr be thankful for them Thanks Dr Morgan for caring for me and treating me right I’m sure u will be missed by many others good Dr are hard to find

One of the best physicians I have ever seen. Well trained Extremely kind! Explains everything until you understand it . Very skilled surgeon. Wonderful with my entire family Could not recommend him more highly

Dr Morgan is Very Caring Compassionate Doctor. Extremely Knowledgeable He takes a look at your overall health I have several issues he takes to talk to me about them and give professional advice. I really appreciate his caring and compassion he takes with patients. I would Highly recommend him He is easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable

I have seen many specialist for my neck and back problems. I have never been more impressed by any physician for any of my health issues, as I have been with Dr. Morgan. Great listener, wonderful and funny bedside manner.......always make me laugh about something ! I strongly recommend him to family and friends on a regular basis.

Dr Morgan is a very good doctor. I fact one of the best I have seen. He has a great bed side manner, he listens w/o interrupting and he comes up with ideas to improve my level of functioning that none of the other specialists I have seen have thought of ! I would highly recommend him to anyone !!! ( And Have)

My son is in the Air Force and his long term goal is to become a doctor. I can only hope that he has the care, compassion and bedside manner that Dr. Morgan has shown my husband. He listens to what my husband has to say. He always asks how he's feeling and how his day to day quality of life has been. He discusses what he hopes to accomplish long term to help my husband have a better quality of life. They have discussed a couple future procedures and Dr. Morgan took the time to explain, in depth, what would be done and what to expect afterwards. It feels good to know that your doctor wants to help you in other ways besides just giving pain medicine for the rest of your life. It also feels good to know that if you have questions your doctor will take the time to answer them. In today's busy world, most doctor's just get you in and out so they can get to the next patient; thankfully, Dr. Morgan isn't like that. I would highly recommend Dr. Morgan to anyone that has day to day pain that… hasn't found help elsewhere!!

I had low back surgery several years ago. I was better for 6 months but eventually got progressively worse. Since then I have seen numerous doctors and surgeons. Dr Morgan is the first physician to listen to my entire history and do a very comprehensive exam. He fought with my insurance company as my advocate to update my 10 year old MRI scans. He was then able to create a very comprehensive treatment plan and has used medications and interventions to really improve the quality of my life. This is the best I have felt since before the surgery. He has a wonderful bedside manner and I feel he sincerely cares about all of my health problems and sends me to other doctors, for problems outside of his field; but only to those doctors he would go to himself

First of all, let me say that I agree with the reviewer who posted on 2.11.19. I am a retired R.N. I have been a patient of Dr. Morgan’s for several years. His training, experience, background and credentials are among the very best in his field. Look up his background on Linked In. You won’t find many physicians in his field with such exceptional skills, training, awards and experience. And he is a wonderful , caring and compassionate physician with a “down home” bedside manner. He listens to his patients !!! He often states: “If you were in my family……..I would recommend…..”. He spent most of his summers working on his family farms in Tennessee, and has the humility and bedside manner of an old- fashioned country doctor. He does not suffer fools well: obvious drug seeking patients and especially those, faking disabilities to get Social Security benefits, will not have much of an audience with him. He has a major physical disability himself, but still remains a very active athlete,… and has done more than 1000 hours of volunteer work. Also, he has always been an active and productive member of his community; in addition to his medical commitments. When he had 3-4 years to establish his private practice, in Colorado Springs, he created the El Paso County Physician’s Foundation and was the original founding member. To date the foundation has raised over $1M dollars and donated the money to numerous 501-C3’s in the Pikes Peak region; including the Battered Women’s center, CASA for children, the Boys and Girls clubs, and numerous other small community organizations providing help for the disadvantaged citizens in their local neighborhoods. In additional for the last 12-13 years he was in Private Practice in Colorado Springs, his peers ( other physicians) consistently chose him to receive the; “Best Doctors in America “ award; an honor given to less than 5% of physicians in the U.S. He is an exceptional physician and surgeon. Again, one of the very best in his field. Incredibly smart, very well trained, many unique experiences, and still has a warm and compassionate personality talked about, by the vast majority of his patients and emulated by the students and residents he still teaches.
