staff is unfriendly and quick to dismiss, impatient. Dr. Ridge also limited with patience. Uncaring.

Pleasant and intelligent doctor who seems to care about his patients

I saw Dr Ridge a few times based on the recommendation of another Dr who thought highly of him. Obviously, this other Dr never had an appointment with him. I was considering asking Ridge to be my Primary, but the very first words out of his mouth upon meeting me had to do with my weight (okay, 50lbs overweight) as if I'd never heard it before and as if I didn't know. How rude! And I had to endure a physical with him. Overweight women beware! He can't stand us, and only barely tolerates women in general. Visit ended with a lecture from him on how advertising tells people what drugs to ask their doctors for, blah, blah, blah. No respect for educated patients or their opinions. Aside from that, his office has really bad follow up and a reputation at the local pharmacy for failing to call overdue prescriptions in. What a jerk, with an office staff to complement him!

Rude. Talks down to patients. No compassion for patients. Never in the office. Would not recommend this doctor.

I was referred to Dr. Ridge by my daughter's pediatrican. She is now 18 and able to see an general doctor. For the first time, she went on her own to get to Dr. Ridge's office without me, her mother. Initially when making the appointment the receptionist was rude but I just shrugged this off. My daughter was lost getting to the office and ask if I can conference her in with the doctor's office so that she can find the office. The appt was for 4 and it was now 4:10. The receptionist was not helpful, rude and complained that she is already late and may not be seen. My daughter is in the rain and hearing the rudeness on the phone and felt very uncomfortable. My daughter and I both agreed that maybe this is not the best place for her as this first impression did not make her comfortable. The receptionist hung up on her. I called again and she hung up on me. I called again and she stated she did not hang up on my daughter. I never in my entire life encountered anything like this… with any doctor's office and particularly their staff. Unfortunately, I am unable to rate Dr. Ridge but his staff is very unprofessional, rude, and uninviting.
