We had a disappointing experience with Dr. Gerhard Hildebrandt during the seven months he was involved in treating our mother’s cancer. 1. Limited Availability: Dr. Hildebrandt frequently attended conferences, which limited his availability for appointments. As a result, much of our mother’s care was handled by his residents, rather than by him directly, which was not what we had expected. 2. Difficulty with Telehealth: There were challenges with his use of telehealth technology, which made communication difficult at times. 3. Limited Treatment Options: His approach seemed to rely on standard treatments, and when we asked about alternative options, we didn’t receive the information we were hoping for. 4. Communication and Scheduling Issues: A scheduled hospital visit was complicated by poor communication, leading to unnecessary expenses on our end. 5. Lack of Empathy: We felt there was a lack of empathy and compassion in his communication, particularly when our mother’s condition… worsened. 6. Post-Treatment Concerns: Follow-up care after the initial treatment appeared inadequate, particularly in monitoring her condition and supporting her recovery. Overall, our mother’s condition worsened under his care, and we do not believe her treatment was handled with the attentiveness we had hoped for. We encourage others to carefully consider their options when choosing care.
