Dr. Gery Kent Florek, MD

Dr. Florek is a true gem. I've sent MANY patients to his office. He is the one doctor I've had since my diagnosis that will listen to me. He'll take what I say and apply it to my treatment. He's willing to try anything to help me. He has called me well after hours just to check on me after each of my many spinal taps. He genuinely cares. He is the doctor the hasn't given up on me. But I know it's definitely a team effort. Maria loves her patients and will go to bat for them. From insurance to pharmacists to referrals. She's a beast! And will fight for her patients rights. Maggie is so kind and has the face that will make your smile return. Especially after receiving news you didn't want to hear. They ALL listen. I've called stressed about meds or in pain and they'll listen to me as I'm crying my eyes out. They are all reassuring and will do all they can to help. They're quick with everything. I never have to wait in the lobby more than 10 minutes. I don't have to wait for any of my… refills. They care. They're honest. They want to help. They want to improve the quality of life for their patients. Hands down, they're the absolute BEST!

Staff is rude and the doctor doesn’t listen carefully.

Dr. Florek is great. His office staff is terrible to deal with. His nurse assumes she is a doctor.

Dr. F. has been treating me for over 14 years now for massive migraines. He has helped keep me alive for all these years - he is very kind, compassionate, caring, wants to learn, interested in what I have to say, tries to help even if it isn't his specialty. I wouldnt go to ANY other doctor about my medical issues and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs an excellent upfront doctor. I for one will NEVER see another neurologist again - this Doctor has me as a patient for LIFE!

Dr. Florek takes time to listen and to explore all options that are best for his patient's. I have never felt like just an appointment and having the long, extensive history of Migraines it is nice to be treated as a person that someone actually cares about your the well being. Dr. Florek has a wonderful staff that treats you with kindness and respect.

I have been his patient for a very long time. I have epilepsy and would not choose any other MD in Tallahassee to be my neurologist. Hes practical and treats the whole body and understands that he is treating a patient not just a disease. I recently moved. If I could take him with me I would. I highly recommend him and his wealth of knowledge.

Dr. Florek is a kind and compassionate person. He is thorough when diagnosing and takes time to address all of my concerns. Dr. Florek always calls me personally when he needs to talk to me about questions I have contacted is office about. As a patient, I am very happy with Dr. Florek and his staff.

their phone system is awful. It is always on a machine and I can never speak with someone to change appointments. Their message always says "only leave a message if you have to cancel your appointment within the next 24 hours" This is very impractical. Otherwise love him!
