Dr. Glen Allen Halvorson, MD

Similar to other reviews, the visit with Dr. Halvorson went fine, it’s his billing department that is terrible. I was sent to collections without receiving a bill even though my insurance paid the visit in full. I spoke with the Doctors accountant several times and wrote a letter as a last resort and never heard anything from his office or accountant. I finally received a notice from the credit agency stating the account is closed (meaning they acknowledged their mistake). A simple call / letter to me from the office would have gone a long way versus letting a credit collection agency with no personal skills try to resolve the matter. Go somewhere else! They clearly do not have their act together.

Do not trust what they tell you your portion of the procedure will be. I was told one amount and was ultimately billed 3 times as much. I tried to write the doctor and ask for a reduction in the fee because they misinformed me, but my letters were ignored.

Dr Halvorson saw me the day after I called, due to sudden changes in my health. Prior to this call, my physician faxed a referral to another lab in Chandler, and 3 x the referral was "lost", delaying a necessary EMG. test. Calling this office and scheduling, and completing this test was an exceptional experience. The receptionist was also 5+. Jim B, Mesa, AZ
