Rude - condescending- has too many patients -rushes through-doesn't really listen- dismissive

Diagnosed what 3 other ENT's had missed.

I had an awful experience! Saw in back in 03 because I could t breath well at all. He looked and suggested a septoplasty, so that was scheduled for a week later. After almost a month I still couldn't breathe and things seemed pretty much the same. After another post op check he thought it best to proceed with a Turbinate reduction for both left and right inferior's. Surgery was scheduled for a week later. After surgery I was in a indescribable amount of pain, and after the second day I realized I had lost the feeling to the right side of my face. I bled quite a bit and after 3 weeks was blowing out what appeared to be bone or something like it. He did another exam and finally told me that during the surgery he accidentally put a hole in my right sinus cavity while "removing" my right turbinate! Min you this was a reduction surgery. Horrible doctor would never recommend to anyone. I finally had the nerve to get looked at again a few weeks ago "2013" and the new Dr said my septum was… shaped like a hockey stick, my right turbinate was completely gone and there are polyps in my sinus cavity probably due to the hole kubina put in it. AND I still had my left turbinate and it was never reduced! My new dr actually had me get a head CT before planning any surgery. Kubina shouldn't work on animals much less people!!!

He is very.nice and honest

The particular "doctor" that saw our son spent 3 minutes with him, mainly talking about our dog, looked in his ears and proclaimed, "Oh yeah, he needs tubes." He then proceeded to tell us the procedure had to take place in a hospital so our son could undergo general anesthesia and pinched our son to show how much it might hurt if it were an out-patient procedure (our son is 6). He shoved a pamphlet towards us and rushed out. Did we get to ask any questions? No. Did he discuss treatment options? No. Did he look at the audiologist report we brought with us? No. Was he professional? No.Are we going to ever use his services again? Definitely not!

When a patient such as myself presents with such serious symptoms, this dr did not take them seriously at all! He really did not take appropriate measures to get to the bottom of my symptoms! He just kindly patted my knee and told me not to worry, was cheerful when I told him I would be seeking another opinion and told me "then" that I didn't need to return to see him. I was also cheerfully ushered out the door personally by him.

Our 9 month old daughter needed to get tubes in her ears to help with her chronic ear problems. Dr. Kubina was very nice during our visit, and helped answer all of our questions, no matter how ridiculous they were. The day of the surgery he was very reassuring and caring, to my daughter and us. Her follow up was scheduled in advance, so we didn't have to worry about making the appointment the day of or during the brief recovery period. Overall, I'm very thankful we had Dr. Kubina, he was a great a doctor and very caring person!
