Dr. Glenn Allen Yates, MD

My husband and I had to wait for 2 months to get an initial appt when we moved into the area last year. He has the beside manner of a stump and if you have any weight issues, there is no need to check anything else - all issues are because of your weight. I don't understand a physician that won't check out other possibilities first and only then decide that is the issue. He might be a good medical doctor, but it's been over a year and I haven't seen it yet. I would NOT recommend him to any new patients.

Dr. Yates is an excellent physician with an emphasis on internal medicine, who runs a "tight ship" with a caring and professional staff. He is highly accurate in his diagnoses and encouraging even in complex prognoses, maintaining high degrees of freedom for his patients, whom he treats like the adults they all are. However, his is direct in his conversations with patients and "holds hands with them" only when absolutely required, so some sensitive patients might be off put by that. They shouldn't be; he's merely trying to be honest and I'll take that any day over mere empathy. He's been my primary physician of record for more than two decades.

I waited about a month for an appointment for myself and my husband. My husband was first. The doctor before him had failed to send our blood work. After another call to Dr Tankers ly it still was not sent. Dr. Yates sent the nurse to my husband that he had wasted his time and he would not see us. I would not take my dog to this heartless man
