I would not go to this doctor again. I felt it was a waste of time. I have pulmonary issues and he did not listen to my chest and I had been sick.

He is rude, dismissive, and totally misdiagnosed my life threatening condition by telling me it was asthma, giving me inhalers and sending me on my way. When I tried to ask questions about my testing and his diagnosis, he barked at me by saying, "this is asthma! It's asthma! What part of asthma are you not getting?" I saw him both in the hospital and in his office. Thankfully I went to other doctors who took their time with me and fully looked into my case and discovered that I have a serious condition that is definetley not asthma. Bottom line, if you want to live go to another doctor.

Horrible experience; only thing heâ??s focused on is getting referrals to his sleep clinic; doesnâ??t matter why youâ??re seeing him, or what the diagnosis . . . they all lead to one thing â?? recommendation for sleep study. Seriously â?? what a coincidence that it just so happens you go to a pulmonary doctor for lung/breathing problems and he diagnosis a sleep disorder (by symptoms only, no tests or referral to a gastroenterologist or anything . . . just something happening while you sleep to cause your congestion and the only way to confirm that would be with a sleep study) . . . AND, OH, BY THE WAY, HE OWNS A SLEEP CLINIC and insists that you go for a sleep study at his clinic or you wonâ??t get better. In addition, the office wait time was over an hour on multiple occasions due to his tardiness (shows up late for office hours), and he doesnâ??t listen to the patient at all â?? doesnâ??t discuss your concerns, doesnâ??t like questions (takes questions personally, as though youâ??re… questioning his judgment, not trying to learn more about a diagnosis or suggested treatments); and, again, the only mantra he seems to know is his recommendation for a sleep study at his cure-all sleep clinic. Nice way to pump the bill to the insurance companies!

I will not even try to go see Dr. Dowds again. His office staff is so unprofessional. To walk in on time for your appointment and be told he has left for the day - without a phone call from the office informing you - is completely irresponsible, unprofessional and nothing I want in a doctor.

The worst bedside manner I have ever seen! Avoid this guy if you want a caring doctor!
