Dr. Gregorio Leus Carpio, MD

Dr. Carpio was not my regular OB. I had to schedule an appointment with him because my dr was out of town. I ended up going into labor that morning but was sent home after going to labor and delivery. I had my appointment with Carpio later that morning and told him how I was having contractions and went to labor and delivery early that morning and was dilated to 1cm. He failed to check me if I was dilated more and sent me on my way. 2 hours later my contractions were AWFUL, I went back to the hospital and was dilated to 8cm and had to have an emergency c-section right away and of course Dr. Carpio did the surgery. After all said and done, I ended up with a horrible infection that would not heal and I ended up having to go to a wound care clinic and get a wound vac! I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. He has horrible bedside manner and tried to fix my wound himself without even numbing me.....needless to say I will NOT be a returning patient.

Dr. Carpio was not my primary OB dr. In fact I had never even met him before he walked into my delivery room.He was only in the room 5-10 minutes before my child was delivered. He did not know my history or my birth plan, nor did he ask me what I wanted.He did an episiotomy w/out discussing it w/me 1st.It was in my birth plan to not have one.It was excessive and I immediately began to have problems.Now 3 years after that experience, I have needed 3 different surgeries to try to correct the problems caused by that episiotomy.
