Dr. Jamilah Jamah Okoe, MD

Dr. O was my OBGYN for years prior to getting pregnant and she was amazing and easy going since day 1. Even through our struggle getting pregnant she was always there. Always listening to me and tolerating and laughing with my outgoing sometimes loud obnoxious personality. I ended up needing an emergency C-section with my son and she was amazing during and after. Even checked up on me and texting me post op. When I got pregnant again, she had switched organizations and is sadly out of network. I am beyond devastated. There is nobody like her. Truly the best of the best! She truly has set the bar very high for my next OB.

Unless you are having or trying to have a baby, no woman likes to go to the gynie. However, Dr. Okoe is AMAZING!! She listened to me, was empathic, compassionate about my care...all while making me laugh and be at ease. My ONLY COMPLAINT, why didn't I find her sooner!

She should find another profession. Worst experience of my life with a doctor

Dr. Okoe was very rude and disrespectful toward me while I was post OP and having an anxiety attack during my stay at Sherman hospital. I am hurt angry and disappointed in her as my ob-gyn and someone I trusted. She got upset with me after I complained that I was in severe pain and nothing was done to care for me. She abandoned me after my hysterectomy with high blood pressure, emotional distress, she did not access my incision because she had an attitude. I would never recommend her to anyone. She is very rude sarcastic and has no bed side manner. I'm left to recover without knowledge of the operation I had because she never explained what happened. She doesn't care about her patients concerns or history. Advocate Sherman hospital has not called me since my discharge. I am traumatized after my stay and also I was misdiagnosed by her. She told me one thing and did another.

Very unprofessional doctor. The staff is very rude as well. I would never recommend Jamilah J. Okoe, M.D. to anyone I care about.

Dr Okoe is a wonderful MD. She has great bedside manner. She took her time and really listened to all of my concerns. I didn't feel rushed when I was with her. She answered all of my questions. I highly recommend her.

When someone says they haven't had sex for 5 years, why would you order a pregnancy test? When they say they extreme sensitivity to a certain class of drugs, why would your first recommendation by a 10-day monthly course of those drugs? This is why I walked out in the middle of my second appointment with my issues unresolved even though she was waving the risk of cancer in my face.

SHE IS THE BEST FEMALA DOCTOR!!!

Not sure if this is the same Butcher that works at South suburban Hospital with her crappy bedside manner. Beware Absolutely Horrible

She is a very excellent Doctor! I will recommend her to my own daughter and family
