Dr. Gregory Mark Dohmeier, DO

Doctor Greg saved my life, what more can I say !

I have been a patient of Dr. Gregory Mark Dohmeier's now for over 15 year's and 3 or more different insurance providers. Dr. Dohmeier always spends the amount of time "YOU" need to feel comfortable that all you questions are answered to your satisfaction. He is a caring and loving man and treats his patients as if they are his extended family. I truly feel he loves and cares about each of us. The only thing I can not stand is when I have an appointment at 3:30 and don't get called back to the exam room till 4:30 or 5:00. So, now that I'm retired, I try to set my appointments so when he returns from his late lunch because he left late treating his morning patients, I don't have but a 30 to 45 minute wait instead. LOL I love Dr. Dohmeier's commitment to us and that is why I stay with him. When he is not available and I have to see another doctor, the Smadore Family Practice and Associates squeeze me into another doctors schedule.

I don't often see doctors who still have the zeal of truly caring & wanting to help a patient after so many years of treating/ diagnosing thousands of patients. I'm used to a routine, pat answer without the actual concern. Not at all the case with Dr. Dohmeier. My GP was too booked to see me when I called with an infected finger. Dr. D fit me in his busy schedule & took the time to really find out what was going on & get me started on antibiotics. I saw him again 3 days later (after being in the ER all night, where they gave me 2 ibuprofen). He stayed late on a Friday working on a very infected finger that was 3x swollen, feeling like it was being pounded by a sledgehammer & was spreading down my hand & into another finger. (Again, to stay late when he was not my normal GP) After doing what he could & realizing the severity of the infection, he called the ER directly to get me a surgeon. A very competent surgeon removed a large chunk of my finger & my nail (which finally grew… back w minimal nerve damage) followed by my body going into shock. She said "I can't believe you were in here last night w that finger & they gave you ibuprofen. One more day & you could've lost your finger and really damaged your hand." I'm Very Thankful for Dr. Dohmeier taking good care of me. In the midst of feeling so so horrible, there was still a secureness bc he was "fighting" for me. He even called me later that evening to make sure I was ok. So thoughtful & touching. He's the exact kind of Dr you want when you don't feel well. I couldn't recommend him any higher.

Greg has been my family physician for the past 7 years. He is absolutely wonderful. He really listens to you and is extremely thorough in his evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of all issues.

Greg is an outstanding personal physician. He never leaves a problem unattended. He readily goes to specialists as needed. He has a large clientele so there may be some time waiting for him but when he is with you he is totally engaged. I would not trade him for anyone.
