Dr. Guy Duncan Silva, MD

Dr. Silva was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He is a 1969 graduate of the University of Oregon. He received his medical degree from the University of Oregon Medical School in 1973. His postgraduate training was done at the University of Louisville, completing an internship in 1974 and a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1977.

In 1977 Dr. Silva opened his private practice in New Albany. After delivering more than 5,000 babies over the past 20 years, Dr Silva now focuses his practice on gynecology and cosmetic gynecology.

He has been board certified since 1979. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is also a Clinical Instructor in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health with the University of Louisville School of Medicine.

He is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American Society of Liposuction Surgery, the American Association of Gynecologic …Laparoscopists, the Floyd County Medical Society, and the Indiana State Medical Association.

Dr. Silva’s wife, Mary, is a lifelong resident of Floyd County. They have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Aside from family activities, Dr. Silva enjoys golf, travel, fishing and music.
