Dr. Gwendolyn Marie Brophy, MD

Dr. Brophy is helping me get a handle on my migraines. She spent nearly an hour taking with me to understand my headaches and my previous treatments and came up with a new plan to hopefully get them under control. I’ve never felt so comfortable with a doctor before, she sat down with me and listened to my preferences and concerns before coming up with a treatment plan. She’s patient and professional and nonjudgmental.

A doctor that REALLY listens.

The Office Staff here was very aloof, rude, sarcastic and unhelpful. Each time I would ask a simple clear question I would get a sarcastic aggressive response. I'm a quiet, calm and always the optimist in conversation, with all. I can not see why there was such unprovoked hostility. I even tried to be nicer thinking the person was just having a bad day and maybe my cheerful attitude would have her become more hospitable. Nope. She was assertive and confident in her negativity. I tried to then see if there was someone else I could speak with or other Neurologist I could see and I basically got pushed off the phone. With all of my excessive amounts of doctors I must see to keep this body going, the multitude of different practices I go to, I have never been treated so badly. And sadly that is saying a lot since office staff can tend to have that one bad apple that fuels a perpetually negative attitude with the rest of it's office staff . It's like the 'mean-girls' approach. … The rest have to act just as aggressive to keep alive in their own employment there. So unfortunate, there is not many recommended Neurologist in this area of quality education and now I must choose a lesser one just because I can't handle the office staff's treatment here.
