Dr. Hal Rothbaum, MD

I just can't for the life of me understand how anyone could say anything negative about Dr. Hal. He delivered both of my daughters and each experience was perfect. One was CSection. He is not an alarmist and is calm at all times and he really cares. He never rushes and always gives the full measure of time. He is qualified, compassionate and has experience. I have been going to him for years. One example, I was called back for more photos on my mammogram and he actually called me before I heard back from the Radiologist because he knew I would flip out. He explained what it probably was and calmed me down. I don't know of another doctor that anticipates and knows his patients well enough to do that.

Dr. Hal is simply the best. I went through three pregnancies with him, and through each there were complications. Dr. Hal had the bedside manner of an angel and safely delivered my three beautiful baby boys. Dr. Hal always answered my questions clearly and directly, unlike many other doctors I had been to in the past. He treats all of his patients like the human beings they are, and combines his wealth of knowledge and experience with a warm and charming personality to give each expecting mother a smooth and relatively stress-free pregnancy experience.

In all my 47 years of womanhood, I have never met such a reprehensible doctor. The horrible experience started in the condemned parking lot where I waited over 30 minutes for a spot to open up. (The ceiling was leaking right above the spot, but I essentially had no other option- except maybe waiting another half hour). This surely was a bad omen, as I was later greeted by an unfriendly secretary who spoke in another language on her cell phone while I was waiting for her to pass over the sign in sheet. I then waited for over 40 minutes before I was finally called into the exam room. (I don’t know why this was this case given that I only saw one patient leave the office before my name was called). Oh lord, the day could not possible be worse, I thought...but I was wrong. The wretched man who came to speak to me, Dr. Hal Rothbaum, was anything but courteous and professional. I felt extremely uncomfortable when he approached me and awkwardly examined me. I could not wait to get out of… there!! He does not compare to his angel of a brother who worked in the same office before his passing. Dr. Hal is neither board-certified, nor experienced enough to be handling simple exams. My good friend was misdiagnosed by Hal and suffered for months before switching doctors and getting a proper diagnosis. I would give him zero stars if that was an option. Please, save yourself some sanity and find another doctor. I would drive all the way into the city just to get away from him and his horrible staff.

Delivered both of my daughters. One was C Section and the other was a regular delivery. Both times he gave me time and never rushed my concerns or questions. At the hospital, he never left my side. I have been going to him for more than 20 years now and have never changed even when he was not on my plan. He is not greedy or in it for the money as a job. He is a true doctor that likes being a doctor! Like doctors of the past.

Best doctor

I was a patient of David Rothbaum, his brother, through two deliveries. They were both fabulous experiences. He was compassionate and caring, keeping me well informed throughout the pregnancy, right through to delivery and follow up. So when he passed I figured I'd use his brother for my third. Does not even come close! He simply does not have the compassion and bedside manner. My delivery was awful- had a misplaced epidural and was in terrible pain- he didn't inquire as to why I would be in such agony given the epidural just told me to forget about fixing anesthesia and deliver if I wanted relief. He offered no words of comfort, no explanation for the horrible WITH an epidural, nothing. Please keep in mind this was my third time so I was not expecting painless. Also no follow up call after discharge- his brother and even the hospital called to checkup! I'm definitely finding a new OB.

Dr Hal is the most perfect doctor out there. I've been his patient for over twenty years and I think the world of him. He has treated me threw out very difficult times & has been wonderful every minute to me and my family. If I could of rated him higher I would of. He is kind compassionate and knowledgeable. Truthful, honest, professional & smart.

Kind and caring. Just like his late brother. Both fantastic Doctors.

PLEASE DONT GO TO HIM I PROMISE YOU THAT YOU WILL REGRET IT! HE IS A HORRIFYING DOCTOR NEVER GO TO HIM HE IS MENTAL!!!!!!
