Dr. Hamid Reza Djalilian, MD

I’m grateful I saw this doctor. I am deaf in one ear, and poor hearing in the other. Dr. Djalilian connected my AIED hearing loss with my chronic migraines, which was a first after many years of seeking help. I have hope that mitigating the migraines may clear up symptoms that have been attributed to AIED. Thank you.

Dr. Djalilian is very knowledgeable and communicates in a manner that is logical and understandable by a lay person. He is straight forward in his approach and willing to engage to assure understanding

We spent one and a half hour waiting for a doctor who did not spend even 15 minutes with us. It was a nurse and another doctor seeing me before Dr. Djalilian came. It looks Dr. Djalilian does not have any interest to listen your concerns and do not like if you ask more detail questions. He likes to listen himself and really do not like if you try to show that you have some knowledge and concerns about his theory. We waited three months to get an appointment, listened just general theory that we already read on Internet, and left the room without any help or diagnosis. He recommended to have some kind of migraine diet and follow up with his nurse practitioner in 8 weeks. I do not have migraine at ll. Just waist of time and money. Dr. Djalilian probably got a good education but he like to listen himself more than pay attention to patients. I am sure to get a right diagnosis, I need to make multiple visits.

Went to go see this doctor after a few months of hearing loss. ENT type cancers run in my family. When I went in to see him he looked visibly frustrated and didn't realize that I was anxious due to my health. This man didn't ask me any questions, did answer any of my concerns or questions, and left me with a paper in my hand for a follow up appointment and without any other word. He literally walked out of the exam room without addressing any of my question and without taking any time to ask me follow up questions regarding previous treatment that didn't work. Please don't go see this man. He is ridiculously naive for a doctor. I don't want anyone working on me that doesn't listen to my concerns and advises treatments that didn't work before.

I visited Dr. Djalilian for a very strange cluster of inner ear and nervous system problems. Dr. Djalilian was quick to identify my problem as being an otic migraine. I did not have additional tests done, most likely because I had most of the necessary ones done beforehand. But it was still a little strange that nothing, aside from an overview of symptoms, was performed. In any case he knew the condition in depth, and seemed to know how to treat it well, and said that my symptoms were a textbook example of an otic migrane. I was placed on a migraine diet and a medication. Over the next couple of months my condition deteriorated and my 'migraines' became more severe, even when placed on a second medication. I was referred elsewhere and told that Dr. Djalilian could not provide more insight. So unfortunately, it is not known if the diagnosis was correct. My main concern with Dr. Djalilian was not the diagnosis (which was respectable given what evidence was available) but his… handling of prescription meds. I was placed on a migraine med known to be dangerous and one which had a lot of FDA warnings surrounding it. None of these warnings were communicated to me, and I became much sicker as a result of the drug, and had to wait (too long) to taper. While I know Dr. Djalilian meant well, I believe patients should use discretion before starting on a med. prescribed, especially any kind of migraine med.

I had an acoustic neuroma removed by Dr. Djalilian and his team last week. My tumor was more than 3 cm (like 1 1/4inch) and my facial nerve is completely normal. I was so worried about it and lost sleep for days thinking about it. He did an awesome job!

I am so thankful I found this doctor. He took the time to look at all my symptoms and he listened to me. I was misdiagnosed several times and could not find a treatment or relief. If you are experiencing chronic dizziness, I highly recommend him!

Refuses to listen to his patients, and has his diagnosis ready before even looking or listening to his patient.
