Dr. Hana F Karim, MD

Dr Karim has been my pcp for 3yrs now and has been been everything I expected from a pcp. She has always been very serious, and focused during my visits, and answers all my questions clearly. She also does not waste time chatting or joking around, which I like, but she is also not rushed or unfriendly. I really like how she responds through the Patient Gateway Portal because it saves me call time.

Where do I even begin? I have been seeing this woman for years (and should have left a long time ago). For starters, she never remembers me. Any medical issues I've had, she tells me to come back after I start exercising more; doesn't know the difference between birth controls, has denied me birth control, and has asked another family member of mine how much medication she should prescribe them. Don't bother wasting your time, find a doctor who is going to care about you.

I hate writing bad reviews, I've thinking about this a lot but I'm in search for a new PCP myself and I do heavily rely on other people's experiences. I just had to share this. I went to see Dr. Karim because my PCP was not available and I had a recurrent strep throat infection. I was miserable! This experience took me back to my childhood in Eastern Europe in the 80's. No bedside manner at all, very arrogant. She was 100% sure that I had strep throat again and did the test anyway. I had throat swabs done before but this was more than uncomfortable. Never bothered to call me with the result and I ended up paying hundreds of dollars for something I didn't really need. I hope whoever reads this finds it helpful.

I recently went to see Dr Karim for a healthcare visit and when she came in to see me she introduced herself to me-I have been going to see her for the past 5 years!! She did not even take 5 seconds to review my chart to see if I was one of her patients. I get better service at an Urgent Care facility. So disappointing.

I've received better treatment from an urgent care facility. As my primary care doctor, she never reviews my chart prior to my appointment. She has no interest in creating a relationship with you. She just pushes the standard tests or is quick to "move you on"/refer you to another doctor.
