Dr. Hao Pan, MD

Dr. Hao Pan is a prominent cardiothoracic surgeon who joins Biltmore Cardiology from the Medical Center of the Rockies in Colorado. Dr. Pan became intrigued with heart and lung physiology as a Division I collegiate cross country and track athlete at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He competed amongst future Olympians while pursuing a degree in exercise physiology. After graduation, he collected cardiac surgical outcomes for a group of cardiac surgeons in Phoenix, AZ. Witnessing his first open heart surgery solidified Dr. Pan’s goal to become a cardiothoracic surgeon.
Throughout his medical journey, Dr. Pan embraced diverse clinical experiences while maintaining his focus on cardiothoracic surgery. He secured a spot in a prestigious integrated Cardiothoracic residency program in Texas. During residency, Dr. Pan volunteered for organ procurement and devoted weekends to clinical research and writing surgical textbook chapters.
