Dr. Harishkumar C Rawal, MD

I had 6 bilateral Tarlov Cysts that were causing severe pain in my coccyx, but they were also causing pain in my bowels and bladder. As soon as I mentioned the coccyx pain, he said, "Let me stop you right there. We all have Tarlov Cysts. I have coccyx pain. I use a pillow when I sit." I didn't even get a chance to tell him about the other problems---he just kept interrupting me. Finally he told me that I could leave, since I wasn't going to believe what he was telling me, and that he wouldn't charge me for the visit. Sadly, this is how most neurosurgeons feel about Tarlov Cysts. But the fact that Dr. Rawal wouldn't even let me finish my sentences was incredible to me. I've never been treated that way. I've been treated rudely before; however, I've never been repeatedly cut off. I did find a surgeon in TX who performed surgery, and gave me my life back.

I have been his patient for over ten years, had four surgeries and would never trust another surgeon with my spine.

Dr. Harish Rawal is a superb physician who does not recommend surgery unless he is convinced it is necessary.

We have had dealings with Dr Rawal for over 30 years. You couldn't find a more competent surgeon. I know that some people have complained about his bedside manner and when we first started seeing him it could of been better but, his skills as a surgeon outweighed everything else. I have noticed that over time Dr Rawal's bedside manner has improved greatly. I wouldn't deal with anyone else and would recommend him hands up.

We have had dealings with Dr Rawal since 1988. You will not find a more experienced doctor. The staff has always been courteous and Dr Rawal has always listened to our concerns. I would highly recommend him.

Dr Rawal is kind and patient but his office staff are the rudest bunch I have encountered in a while. 3 appts, 2 cancelled by them at last minute because they forgot to give me info on required tests, the 3rd visit i waited for over 90 minutes and had to leave before the Dr. arrived. Sitting there listening to his staff talk to patients like little kids, very rude, cold and demanding. No customer service at all in this office.

When I go to a doctor I do not care about the bedside manner as much as his ability to take care of the problem. He answered all my questions, but was very short with the visit. Immediately after surgery when I woke up my pain, which was constant was gone. He is excellent in his skills and knows what he is doing.

He will not listen to you or other doctors even when he is wrong.

Dr. Rawal is a kind and caring physician. He was patient with me regarding my hesitancy regaridng neck surgery. He really listened to my fears and thoroughly answered all of my questions. He is so skilled, and I have complete faith and trust in him. I would recommend him, without hesitation!!

he will not admit he may be wrong ,he says all the other doctors on my mris are wrong,he is stubborn and will not listen to you,he walked out of the room on both of my appt.,as i was trying to talk to him,very rude and a really poor excuse of a doctor,i will suffer in severe pain before i see or let him do any thing,.,he does not even deserve a one star rating,.!!!!!!
