Dr. Harold Jay Weinberg, MD

Saw the doc ...he ordered mri plus never contacted me with results. Then when i called he referred me to another doc who ordered the same mri just two months later. These docs were both with nyu langone and did not share data. Absolutely on the border of negligence. Ended up being a herniated disc not MS..but neither doc considered this even when weinberg pointed to it on the MRI and said that must be uncomfortable. Do not waste your time here! I pursued a cervical orth doc elsewhere and got better results.

I went to Dr. Weinberg to check on a severely arthritic cervical spine. He went through the usual neurological intake exam robotically, ordered two MRIs and did not call with the results. After two weeks, I called him. He clearly had not looked at the MRIs, did not know why he had ordered them, who I was or why I had come to see him. He seemed totally surprised to see that my cervical spine was arthritic!!!!!

Dr. Weinberg is a real gentleman. He answered all my questions. He himself did a thorough exam abd then sent me for some tests to rule out a more serious problem. He suggested I try physical therapy for a few weeks. When all my sessions were used up he faxed a new prescription to my P.T. for a few more sessions. He returned my phone calls the same day . (It was only twice, but that is more than I get from my internist.)

i had an issue with the dr over diagnosis of my lateral spine...he put me through a series of tests only to find out later that these tests weren't necessary. the doctor's demeanor is abrupt and stressed...not too sure if i'd return..
