Dr. Harrison Mitchell Abrahams, MD

The physician may be good, but he should know how his office staff are treating HIS patients. They need lessons in customer service, especially Carmen!!! It is inappropriate to keep people waiting for long periods, make up rules at the last minute, and keep people from finding out their results. Can you imagine, Carmen, the angst people go through waiting for test results, and YOU are the barrier, shame on you! **Dr Abraham’s, you should keep better tabs on your staff, after all, these are your patients, and they are making your practice look very bad.

My initial meeting with Dr. Abrahams for "elevated PSA" went very well. He came across as very experienced and knowledgeable, with a good demeanor. He referred me over to another urologist for an "MRI BIOPSY". Any and all follow-up calls to his office staff for basic information such as the name of the urologist and where the procedure would take place (so I could follow-up with my insurance to make sure it was covered) were met with: VERY LONG HOLD TIMES (20-30 MINUTES) followed by DISCONNECTED PHONE CALLS, EXCESSIVE TRANSFERS, and even HANG-UPS !! I finally gave up out of TOTAL EXHAUSTION and went to another Urologist. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME !!!!!

I am a new to Dr. Abrahams, but my wife was a prior patient and she liked him. He is pleasant & informative. He answers all my questions & explains the process for me.

Excellent manner, put me at ease right away. Dr. Abrahams explained everything thoroughly and made sure I understood all that was going on. A big plus: thanks to his attitude and personality, my surgery seemed more like a minor inconvenience than the big deal I was afraid of. I would most highly recommend this doctor.

I went to see Dr. Abrahams after a few days of a hospital stay to isolate what was causing me pain. Dr. Abrahams was very thorough in his examination but not quick to rush into surgery. He wanted to ensure his diagnosis was supported through several important test which he explained to me very well. He is excellent at answering all questions, as well as finding a solution. Dr. Abrahams used the divinci robotic equipment for a laproscopic partial nephrectomy which resolved my problem. I highly recommend this physician to anyone who wants a professional and knowledgable physician with excellent beside manners.

My only complaint would be that it's difficult to get an appt. on short notice, and with good reason: He's an excellent doctor. He did my last surgery to break up some kidney stones that I had, and I'm not sure what he did different than other doctors, but I was in nearly no pain after the pain meds from the surgery wore off. I could write a paper about the little things that make me prefer him to other urologists, but I'll just say that I won't go to anyone else as long as he's around.
