Dr. Harry A Frankel, MD

Dr. Frankel is very rude and condescending. His racial references made me very uncomfortable. During my visit I did not feel that I had his undivided attention and when he was speaking it was at me... not to me. When I was trying to discuss my chief complaints he interrupted me stating we will discuss that another time. He never even heard them to determine if they should be reviewed immediately or revisited. When my pharmacist or visiting nurse called to discuss my needs or any changes.....they would have to with out fail have to consistently keep calling back to have someone acknowledge the reason they were calling. This very concerning considering I have been subscribed life sustaining medications. Return calls have taken up to a week. The "after hours answering service" and "the on call coverage" is the worse. Its very frustrating not being able to reach your doctor after hours in an urgent situation. The ER doctors struggled with this too. If you have or had a bad… experience please contact your health plan and ask for the Grievance Department. His capitation payments are paid.....if you visit once a month or once a year. His capitation payments are far too high to receive such a low standard of care. I also noticed he sets the tone as to how his staff treats you too. In all this was a very bad experience and could have ended very badly due to the delay in responding to my pharmacy. Do not ignore the red flags and do not be afraid to speak up. Utilize the Grievance Department at your Health Plan.

Dr. Frankel has been my doctor for 20 some years and I can't say enough good things about him. He has recently moved from the Jefferson Healthcare System to Main Line Health System in Conshohocken and I will follow him!

I was recommended to Dr. Frankel by a friend and I in turn recommended four others. We all agree that he's the best.He's firm, direct, compassionate and competent. He's switching practices, so I hope to follow.

Dr. Harry Frankel has been my primary physician for 21 years and counting. Whether I was employed/unemployed, insured/uninsured, and where ever my life has taken me in the Greater Philadelphia area, I've kept him as my doctor, because, I realized, he is the very best Dr. I could ever hope to find. I've reccomended him many times over the years and will continue to do so. He and his staff are exceptionally skilled, caring and efficient. He collaborates with my specialists, and takes the time to understand how my life effects my health and vice versa. The very best!!!

dr harry frankel has been our family physician for 24 years. he is very caring and very knowledgable but at the same time if he doesnt know what the problem is he will not hesitate to send you to one of the best specialists in the city. there is virtually no wait time in his office (although he has loads of patients),even when an emergency visit is scheduled wait time is minimal. i would reccomend and have reccomended dr frankel to anyone who is looking for a fantastic doctor who really cares about his patients.
