Great surgeon!

It has been 6 years since my surgery. He Did as was planned . However from day 1 he was cold and arrogant. When the surgery was done , i was not pleased with the aesthetics and when i asked about it, i was told “lose weight” after he caused the extra “fat” spots. Bad from beginning to end. Still to this day.

Dr Harvey Bluestein I am so pleased with my entire experience with Dr. Bluestein. He is truly talented, thorough and compassionate doctor. I recently had a plastic surgery procedure, an explant, to remove my breast implant along with the capsules. Dr. Bluestein was informative about every step of the process. He took the time to answer all of my questions and address all of my concerns before the operation. During the procedure and with after-care, I felt like his entire staff truly cared about my comfort and well-being. Thanks to his great work and instructions, my recovery time has been a lot easier than I anticipated. I cannot say enough great things about his practice and would recommend him for any kind of cosmetic, plastic or reconstructive surgery without any hesitation.

My experience with this office has been horrendous. I went to Dr Bluestein about 3+ months ago to have a growth by my eye looked at. Fast forward 3 mo and after at least 8 phone calls between my insurance company and the office, I can’t get a cost because nothing they’ve given me has made any sense at all to the insurance company. That’s honestly not the problem though. What will prevent me from ever using him and what will motivate me to warn people about is the story my wife just told me about her visit to his office. She went today to get stitches she got over the weekend looked at and he was extremely rude, impatient, dismissive and physically aggressive. He asked her if she has make up on and she said yes, but not by the cut. He rolled his eyes, left the room to get a makeup wipe and SCRUBBED her face really aggressively until she had to pull away to remove makeup that wasn’t there. If this wasn’t pathetic enough, it should be noted that prior to entering the exam room, my… sister in law, who was also there, heard Dr Bluestein LOUDLY complaining about it being the end of the day and that he just wanted to go home. I’m absolutely disgusted by Dr Bluestein’s behavior, the complete absence of professionalism he showed my wife and his childish end-of-day tantrum and I believe he owes my wife an apology. He may be an ok doctor, but after listening to my wife, I question whether he’s a good man.

Dr. Bluestein is an amazing doctor. Our 2.5 year old daughter fell and split her chin open. Although the office was closed, he took the time to come in after hours to help and provide our daughter with the necessary medical care. We greatly appreciate his patience and gentle demeanor with a toddler who did not make it easy to get stitches. He is truly a blessing and we couldn't thank him enough for his professionalism, kindness and dedication to helping others in their time of need!!

Excellent bedside manner! Very honest and caring.

I was referred to the Dr. by my dermatologist for a skin cancer near my eye. I went for the consult that took 15 minutes. To find out he couldn't do the procedure in his office like we thought and would need to set up at a hospital. No problem until today when the bill came in the mail for $660.00. That is unreal, he literally talked to me for 10 minutes. I don't care how much insurance covered or didn't cover $660 for 5 minutes of talking????? Got to figure the actual procedure would be about 20 grand at those rates.

Thank god for such a talented and incredible Doctor. I nearly severed my thumb and he miraculously reconnected the it, along with tendons and nerves. Dr. Bluestein is a serious man and takes excellent care of his patients. I read a comment or two about his "bedside manners" -it is crap and an unfair comment. Do you want a doctor who will brilliantly fix your issues or a doctor who tells jokes? For me, I choose Dr. Bluestein. Also, his office staff are fantastic and kind and caring. He is great!
