Dr. Hayama Brill, MD

I wish I could give 100 stars to the most professional, intelligent, smart and I can go on and on. There’s no words to say how happy and blessed I am to find this doctor. My delivery wasn’t easy, but she did everything in order for me to as much comfort and safety for my baby. If I ever move to different state and get pregnant again I would probably come back to NYC. Her office is very clean, organized and the stuff is really helpful

While it seems like she is good when all goes well which is why I went to her bc my friend delivered from her it does not go well if you miscarry. I started bleeding at 12 weeks and she didn’t ask to see me and just called in progesterone. I, being a doctor myself said shouldn’t we do an ultrasound she said go to the Ed and she isn’t around until next Tuesday because she is out of town (it’s Friday by the way and all she did was email me and not call me back). I call my old obgyn attending and ask him what to do and he says she should be ultrasounding you instead of calling in medication. Why would I want to spend 1000s at an ER when I know all I need is an ultrasound by an obgyn. I call her office and ask if she has a partner or some ob who can see me. Mind you I am cramping and bleeding has gotten worse. I call her office who says she is in Brooklyn on Saturday (why didn’t she say that in the first place instead of out of town?) I go to Brooklyn she ultrasounds me and there is no… fetal heart beat. I’m devastated. She tells me a week from Saturday I can go to an abortion clinic “who does this all the time” and have the procedure there. I’m crying at this point and I ask her why she won’t take care of it and it doesn’t make me feel comfortable showing up to an abortion clinic. I’m speechless and get in the car home. She emails me “she doesn’t have time” and if I want she can see if I can be scheduled 1.5 weeks away. Meaning she would just have me bleed and cramp for a whole week with a dead baby inside me. I’m in shock and go home and call my friends dad who is an obgyn in Long Island and says don’t worry I will take care of you. Opens his office early at 7am the next day and I was in the operating room at the hospital by 10:30 with stat bloodwork done. By the next day pain is significantly reduced as well as the bleeding. If not for him I don’t know what I would have done. As a doctor I have never heard of such disgraceful patient care. It shocks me to my core and every obgyn said I wouldn’t be in practice if I treated ladies who miscarry like that. I would NEVER go back there. I treat patients who have strep throat better than what she did. I don’t like speaking down of other people in my field but I worry about other ladies who might go through the same thing similar to me because miscarriages are common and won’t know what to do.

I had surgery 1 mounth ago, which was done excellent by Dr Hayama Brill I don't know Dr Hayama Brill before I met her in the office before my surgery, first time I see her I like her very much. Step by Strp very professional with a lot off patience she explained me what I should done before and how surgery will go. ! Also she let me know I can call her any time if I have questions for preparation. Surgery went excellent in Lenox Hill Hospital Dr H Brill and her staff was very friendly to me. After 2 weeks I came in office for check up 1 time everything was great , I will myself perfectly. I have no visible scars from my surgery. I am new to the area and needed to have my annual PAP....I found Dr. Brill attentive, professional and delightful to talk with. She spent time with me before the exam. I was also very pleased with the receptionist and nurse. I would recommend Dr. Brill.

I do not recommend this doctor or this office to anyone! Do your research before you go. Starting with the front desk staff, which is rude, snotty and upleasant. The doctor herself made an impression that she cares more about making money than treating patients. My first appmt, I was asked health questions by the nurse (who is the only pleasant person there, BTW), then taken to Dr. Brill's office, where we quickly went through my health history, then we went to the exam room, where she did a quick exam and left, and on my way out, the nurse was explaining to me how to take prescribed meds. Normally, that would be the doctor's job, in her office, where she would also give me her feedback on her exam. But not in this case. Rush, rush, rush... My second appmt was about 8 months later... I was taken by the nurse straight to exam room this time, where I was waiting for Dr. Brill for about 20 mins. When she walked in she asked me how I was doing, while preparing something, took a PAP-smear… exam and walked out. That was it. The doctor did not take her time to ask me ANYTHING! No-one even called me with the results of that test. I had to call myself after 2 weeks of waiting. Then she billed the second appmnt as the Medical Procedure, just so I would pay a $30 co-payment, which is waived by my insurance if it's anything else, BUT the Medical Procedure. She figured out the loopholes to bill the most for the least time spent. Stay away from that office. I know it's hard to find a good GYN doc, but believe me, they are out there!

Dr. Brill was my doctor throughout my entire pregnancy. She was always very helpful at each appointment. The rest of the staff was always friendly too. My delivery went perfect, as Dr. Brill delivered my son, who weighed over 9 pounds. I couldn't be more pleased with the services I've received from her and her staff.

Dr Brill is extremely arrogant, cold and arrogant. She also lacks in professional expertise and is vague and short when giving any explanations. This visit left me with an extremely unpleasant aftertaste!

Dr Brill is the most insensitive doctor I have ever seen!
