Dr. Heidi Prather, DO

I recommend finding another physiatrist. Dr Prather is a lovely person but an inattentive doctor. She must be overloaded. I am still waiting for several weeks for a call back to make an appointment. (I’m now going elsewhere) When I went to see a doctor for a second opinion, there was disbelief at what Dr Prather’s recommendation was for a next step. What was recommended was so off base, even I knew it was wrong ( it was a recommendation for viscose supplementation which happens before a knee replacement, not after. I have post surgical problems related to total knee replacement.) Too bad, but I wasted months on ineffective care.

I can't even begin to comment. I was in and out in 12 minutes. This included changing into shorts, seeing the MA, seeing Dr. Prather for less than 5 minutes, and changing back into street clothes. Prior to visit I had to complete the most detailed history I have ever done and it was obvious she did not read it and had no idea why I was there. The MA and she were overwhelmed. This is physical (rehab) medicine. These doctors need to spend a lot of time with the patient at the initial visit. I am really speechless about this visit. Is the issue HSS or is it Dr. Prather. I don't know but I do know I won't be going back.

I've had many issues with my hips/knees over the last year. I've seen a lot of Doctos, and Dr. Prather has been so kind, compassionate and genuinely has cared about me getting better. She is very responsive via the portal and went out of her way to call other Doctors to make sure they would accept my insurance.

I have been seeing Dr. Prather for 11+ years for a very complex Cervical spine problem. She is kind,caring and down to earth. She is very good at what she does.

While my experience with Dr. Prather directly was wonderful, she is very knowledgeable, and she has great compassion for her patients. The office is highly unorganized. I needed different paperwork filled out at different times throughout my treatment there, and it was never sent promptly. The office staff were often confused about what papers I was referring to. Also, call wait times and communication in general is horrible! Lastly, I had to wait for a month or more to for my script for medical equipment to be filled because the office could not complete the forms and return them in a timely manner. Please if you are a chronic pain sufferer like me try to find a different doctor to see. The wait times and rude office staff are simply not worth it

I would not recommend this doctor if you have chronic pain. She is nice but it is hard to get a hold of her for follow up questions and to schedule appointments. It could take months for treatments. I waited in the waiting room for 2hrs before getting to see her.

Dr.Prather's education combined with her experience makes her an incredibly knowledgeable Neuro/Spine physician….When it’s your health your quality of life on the line…..only the Best is Good Enough. Without a doubt Dr. Prather is one of the BEST! Thank You Dr. Prather for keeping me moving forward. PR

Wonderful physician, easy to talk to, willing to work with me to take care of my back pain, excellent results.

Dr Prather seemed to know what the problem was in my hip when several others could not. Great to have a doctor that can figure out what the problem is and a proceedure for correcting it.

This practice is the most unorganized and uncaring group I have ever encountered. I have been a RN for 30 yrs and my daughter is also RN of 10 yrs. She has been in extreme pain for 6 months with diagnosis of pelvic and SI dysfunction. This DO does not adequately treat pain and the office staff is rude. A call from a patient is never returned and they have a medical assistant giving medical advice over the phone. That is a very dangerous practice as this person is not qualified to give any advice.
