Dr. Helen Bell Adams, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Adams for various health problems for the last 10 years .I find her to be a very caring Doctor Who is concerned about addressing and helping you with the health issues you may be dealing with. The wait time is not excessive and Dr. Adams it’s not like some doctors that I have dealt with who comes in and rushes to hear about your health concerns. Give you a prescription and then rushes out of the office. I would recommend Dr. Adams to anyone who is looking for a qualified caring doctor who is not rude or condescending. I would recommend you should make an appointment and see Dr Adams.

I have been seeing Dr. Adams for many years now. She used to be kind. But, in this past year, I have noticed that she has become incredibly rude and condescending. First, it is very difficult to even get an appointment with her. Then, you wait 20-30 minutes, she rushes in, listens to you for a couple of minutes, then INTERRUPTS you and diagnoses you without even hearing your issues are. She has a God-like complex and is not at all interested in patient care. She wants to give you whatever arbitrary diagnosis and then just bill you. EVERY time I have seen her over the past year, her office has double billed me — they receive payment from my insurance AND they send me a bill. When I call the billing office, they fix it and tell me it is not there fault, it is the insurance company’s fault so I have to keep calling in to avoid being double-billed. Do yourself a favor — find a different doctor!

Dr. Adams is the worst doctor I’ve ever been to on my entire life. She is rude, degrading, makes you feel stupid, has the worst bedside manner and has brought me to tears after a simple visit. If you can, please please please do not see her. When I was waiting in the waiting room one time before a visit there was a woman who wanted to file a complaint against dr. Adams. She is the worst decision you could make.

How about you go to a doctor , wait 20-30 minutes, she rushes in, listens to you for a couple of minutes, then interrupts and diagnoses you with “just being old now”, when you are 37 and came to see her about a skin irritation?! Then she rushes out commenting something to the nurse on her way out.. The most impatient and unethical behavior I have seen.

Dr. Adams for over a year only had 2 answers for me: “painkillers and antibiotics”, she was quick at prescribing very potent painkillers and antibiotics, but did not put enough effort into trying to find the reason behind the symptoms. Unreasonably strong medicines without understanding what was actually the problem! Just a quick “ migraine “ as a diagnosis and a “brain-tumor-level of a painkiller”?! No, thanks! I’ll find a doctor who wants me healthy, not doped!

If I can't say anything nice then I will not say anything

After getting totally fed up with the practice I was using, I was referred to Dr. Adams by another physician (the good ones always know other good ones). She is knowledgeable and really listens to her patients. She had to refer me to another physician, which was fine, because her referral made it possible to have a lot of questions answered.

I have been seeing Dr. Adams for almost 10 years. She is caring, professional and spends the time needed to understand my issues. I drive from Chester to see her and will continue to do so.

Dr. Adams is a caring doctor. I highly recommend her.
