Dr. Helen Jane Bussey

Dr. Bussey performed my surgery. She is very professional. She was thorough in her explanations. She allowed me to ask questions and answered every question I had. She even answered questions I didn't know to ask. I invited my husband to talk to Dr. Bussey and she answered all of his questions and concerns. My husband and I were both very impressed with the integrity of Dr. Bussey. I could not be happier with the surgery and the care I received from her. She is an outstanding doctor.

I haven't seen Dr. Bussey for many years now and she's hopefully retired and enjoying life. She took great care of me when I was 42, calmed me down and made me feel like she had my back. I still smile when I think of her calm, gentle reassurances and how silly I must've looked being so hysterical and worried that I wouldn't live to see my grandkids grow up. They're now 21, 24, and 27. I guess I made it. Thanks Dr. Bussey

Made a difficult experience more than bearable. She's the finest doctor, surgeon, person I've ever dealt with, and I recommend her highly, although I understand she's already retired. :-(

Dr. Bussey is a straight-shooting doctor, which I would typically see as a positive, but with her is a negative. Her personality is abrasive and I found her difficult to talk to. I felt rushed when asking questions and she wasn't well-prepared with my case information at the time of the visit. In fact, she had to correct herself several times because she gave me incorrect information. At my first scheduled visit, she did not show, due to inclement weather. However, I traveled over 40 miles, one-way, only to turn back around because I didn't know she couldn't make it until I got there. After one visit, Dr. Bussey called me to discuss my case, but as I asked follow-up questions about my condition, she seemed to back track and ultimately told me to forget everything she told me on the call and apologized for the confusion. After thinking about the odd call, I realized she probably called me with another patient's information (made a call to the wrong patient). The only redeeming… factor in Dr. Bussey's office is that her front-desk receptionist is very kind and friendly, but a good receptionist does not a good doctor make. I ultimately choose to go with another surgeon for my mastectomy and couldn't be happier.

Dr. Bussey is not anyone I would recommend to ANYONE. She is rude and has no compassion for the patient . She made my Daughter feel very uncomfortable. Like she had no clue what was going on. There are many places besides in the breast tissue that can a dangerous growth. She made my Daughter feel like she was stupid and I do not appreciate that at all. My sister died at 31 years of age. Anything that is unusual in around or by a breast should be taken seriously ! Dr. Bussey also belittled my Daughter physician for sending her . This is very unprofessional. I will tell everyone not to go to her if they have any kind of problem.

I have had to use the services of Dr. Bussey two times over the past four years. I find her to be matter of fact and thorough in her explanations. She gives time for questions. The first wait time for this pre op session was due to her spending more time with a first time upset patient which is easy to understand. Her specialty is Breast Surgery. She seems to be quite compassionate. The post op visit was a wait of only a matter of a few minutes. The entire visit took less than 20 minutes. I highly recommend her services.

She was professional, caring, reassuring, confident, and very kind to my family. She had no qualms about letting all 5 of us in the exam room to talk. She never rushes and always seems relaxed. We love her!!!

Dr. Bussey was my oncologist when I learned that I had breast cancer, she me with myself and my husband to go over all of my choices and was very upfront and straight to the point. I was very please with her professionalism and her years of experience.
