Dr. Hema Patel, MD

Dr. Patel is a wonderful neurologist. She was my doctor for a vast majority of my life and she always remembered who I was and treated me like family. Without her and her neurological expertise I would probably still be having 15 seizures a day.

Dr. Patel does not remember her patients. She NEVER calls with results. She misdiagnosed our son's seizures and never had him on right medication. Now he is suffering. I think she is too busy to spend time diagnosing patients. She seems offended when you ask questions and rushed.

When you need a neurologist it is important that they are giving professional, specialized diagnostic attention. A physician that is so busy that their focus is on pushing the appointment list through instead of focusing on the patient can not give you the medical treatment you need and deserve. This dr. saw my child since birth and did not remember him from visit to visit (seven years worth of visits). The implication of this lack of attention resulted for us in the failure to diagnose a brain tumor. Which is now much larger and more difficult to remove. Additionally increased age results in a decrease in the brains ability to heal as quickly and completely. Don't let your child suffer the failure of others. You will know a good dr on the first visit by the amount of time and expertice they give you,which we have painfully dicovered.
