I am extremely disappointed with this practice, particularly given that they performed my bilateral knee replacement one year ago. It is reasonable to expect a surgeon’s office to provide appropriate long-term follow-up care for their own post-operative patients. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Despite repeatedly informing the staff that my insurance plan does not require a referral, the office continued to insist on one. I even arranged for Blue Shield to speak with the office manager directly to confirm this. Rather than accepting clear information from both the insurer and myself, the staff continued to demand a referral that was not required. Even more concerning, instead of acknowledging their administrative oversight, the staff chose to label my attempts to clarify my insurance benefits as “inappropriate behavior.” Expecting a practice to understand basic insurance requirements—particularly for a routine one-year postoperative follow-up—is neither inappropriate nor… unreasonable. As a practice manager in a concierge internal medicine office, I work with specialists daily and understand the importance of accurate insurance knowledge and competent customer service. The level of service demonstrated here was unexpectedly poor. The dismissiveness, unwillingness to listen, and refusal to take responsibility for their own administrative errors were unacceptable. In more than three decades of working in healthcare, I have rarely encountered such inflexibility over a simple and easily resolvable issue. After entrusting this office with major surgery, I expected at minimum a professional and patient-centered approach to follow-up care. Instead, I was treated as an inconvenience. If this is representative of how they manage long-term postoperative patients, I would strongly encourage others to consider an orthopedic practice that values communication and understands the needs of patients who are already managing significant pain. I was very satisfied with my surgeon’s clinical work and surgical outcome. However, there are many highly capable orthopedic practices in this area, and there is no reason to endure the level of administrative frustration I experienced here. I strongly recommend seeking care with a different orthopedic office.

Excellent communication and interaction with office staff. Dr. Biggs is so kind and friendly. I’ve had two knee replacements with him now, and I am forever glad I found him. So talented! And very reassuring, explains everything. Sometimes a wait to get a response from the messages I leave, but no one ever let me hanging. Very best experience overall! Twice

I’m writing this three weeks postop for a TKR. My experience has been excellent so far. First 10 days were super smooth with the steroid regiment. Once the steroids wore off I had more pain set in and it made the exercises a little more difficult. All being said Dr Biggs is an amazing surgeon. I did my research before choosing him (interviewed six doctors) I liked his protocol, that he used an oxinium knee, and the way he closed the incision(no staples). My scar is barely visible and my mobility is ahead of schedule.

Zero stars for follow up care! Hematoma ar incision,PT refuses to touch me.Never get to talk to a human! Never return calls!Might just go to ER and have some ER Doc open it. After working Ortho in surgery and anesthesia for 25 years I know what a 2 week old incision should look like(and this is not that)Biggs office does not communicate with patients post op!

5 star for the 2 surgeries I had this year. 0 star for follow up if you have any issues after surgery. Can’t get a hold of anyone. Never answer the phone. Leave a message won’t call back. Refuse to do the insurance referrals. Can’t send an email etc. only 1,phone number. Terrible customer service. Will be looking for someone else

Dr. Biggs used the Omnibotics procedure to replace my knee. My age is 79, but after 2 weeks I was off cane and able to drive to a week-end event. At 4 weeks, I was riding a bike and walking to the beach. Plus the incision is hardly noticeable. Only problem was leg cramps at night, however, they were dissipating by 5 weeks. Highly recommend for knees.

Can I do surveys on the first visit. However, I was very impressed with everything, and hope it will continue, as I’ve heard good things and would love to be a part of this kind of surgery.

I cannot give enough stars to Dr. Biggs and his staff. 6 months after knee replacement and I can do more than I could before. Feel like I have my life back!

Can’t get an appointment! No human answers the phone and they never call you back!

The complete business is unprofessional. I had a surgery call revision. It should be 2 different surgeries, first Dr. BIGGS need to removed the hardware put an spacer during the time I'll be reciving a very strong antibiotics through a caterer on my arm to my heart. 2 days before de release from rehab I got DVT. I was send home to prepare my surgery, but of course I have a DVT. I have to go to emergency to treat the blood clots next to my blog ears. Unfortunately I have to wait for my clots to be desolved for 3 months. When finally I'm ready to have my surgery the girls from the offices give me all the intructions, then at the end they need a check for the 20%, since they don't take my Secundaria insurance. I told them I didn't have the money, but I can paid on payments, they refused. So she said next day she will call. She did , to tell me they disided to wait that I'll save the money and then he will do the surgery. I ask for the Dr. to call me, but he never did. They told me I… can look for another doctor. And I did. None of the doctors will do it. I end up paying the 20% ,but the problems didn't stopped there , some one call me and when I call back they said it was about the $600 dollars . I got upset and asked for Dr Biggs againg. Well at the end the doctor refuse to perform the surgery and canceled, just because I said the make me feel like never go to Tha office again. Be careful with them. Is a room full of inmature, no compassion and a lot of gossiping going on to made anyone e stress to the point of depression.
