Dr. Henry Calas, MD

Dr. Calas is one of only a few Neurologist in Martin county who will see you personally in the Hospital if you are acutely hospitalized for a neurological complaint. Not just as an outpatient in his office but also in the hospital. As was the case With ME ! I was recently taken by ambulance for a TIA/stroke, my family doctor Who I've been seeing as an outpatient for 10 years could not, did not come to see me , Not once while I was hospitalized instead I had a covering hospitalist MD. They were going to give me a covering hospitalist neurologist as well, however I told the ER Doctor I'd been doctoring with a neurologist, Dr. Calas for over 10 years. They called him and he came to see me in the emergency room, and after carefully examining me he gave me "TPA" that saved my life ! Thank GOD ! And thank You Dr. Calas. I am still walking and talking and moving my right side of my body thanks to you.

Suffered a closed head injury resulting in a traumatic brain injury. Had many neurologists examine and treat me through medications. Some even wanted to perform surgery. Dr Callas examinedme, evaluated, adjusted and managed multiple medications that are keeping my seizures under control. Please know that at one time I was suffering as many as 7-8 seizures a day. Dr Callas, through medications, blood level tests, MRI’s, and physical examinations has managed my seizure disorder and gotten it to be predictable and under control. God bless him. He’s the best! Dr Calas has been my neurologist for over 12 years from day one I never felt like a number, like I have felt with other Dr's.. everytime I see Dr Calas he spends at least 45 minutes to and hour going over my history and asks many questions as to my current status.. The most important is I've been seizure free since I've been going to Dr.Calas as one whom has dealt with Epilepsy that's extremely comforting... I would recommend Dr.Calas to anyone. He and his staff are genuinely caring. Sometimes the wait can be a little long but thats because he takes his time with each patient. I highly recomend Dr Calas

Explained everything in terms I could understand, addressed all of my concerns and I didn't feel like I was just another assembly line # & NEXT ! Not with this doctor..... So he's worth the 30 min Wait .

Staff is pleasant

Very poorly run office, extremely unorganized. Medical files are lying all over the office - on the floor, on desks and not one staff member is trained administratively or medically. My husband was misdiagnosed by Dr. Calas and he is a doctor that doesn't seem to care about his patients or about being a doctor. There are many good doctors available and we are so unhappy that we went to him as long as we did.
